so, I'm going to bring Legion to Tali's loyalty mission. But by the time he gets aboard the Normandy, there's only like 2 missions before the Collectors abduct the crew....

My question is: is it possible to bring Legion to Tali's Loyalty Mission, do the Heretic Station mission, and then do the Suicide Mission in time to rescue the entire crew?

(someone once told me it wasn't possible to experience the migrant fleets reactions to Legions presence and have a perfect Suicide Mission run in the same playthrough. I hope they were wrong)

As I understand it, the timer on the IFF mission calling up the shuttle run is random, between 1 mission & 5. There are other factors in that (including how many primary missions you left before grabbing the IFF). But I've never had a problem leaving Heretic Station +1 mission pre-shuttle.

Yes. Activate Legion then do Tali's loyalty mission then talk to Legion to get his loyalty mission.

Or if you have all your other squadmates recruited and loyal you can take Legion to Tali's loyalty mission after the suicide mission as long as Tali or Legion doesn't do anything important during the suicide mission(no vent, no escort, no fireteam leader)

Yes, it is possible. If you remember Admiral Ran saying "What the hell is this!?" when she first sees Legion in the War Room in Mass Effect 3, that will change if Legion was brought to Tali's loyalty mission.

In order to do what you want:
-After the Derelict Reaper Mission, wake up Legion, 'cause if you do not wake him up now, his loyalty mission will not be unlocked after Tali's mission(if you want to bring him, you have to wake him up anyways).

-Once you bring him to Tali's mission, you'll be prompted with a Charm/Intimidation dialogue situation where you must convince the fleet to allow Legion on board. If you don't have enough Paragon/Renegade, you can't bring him on board.

-Once he's on board, just do the mission as it is, but be warned, you decisions here affect your decision on the Heretic Station if you want peace between Geth & Quarians option in ME3.

-When you're done with Tali's mission, Kelly will tell you that Legion will want to speak to you, or you can just head down to the A.I. Core Room and talk to Legion to get his Loyalty Mission.

-Now, you can proceed to the Heretic Station without the abduction happening.

-Note: I believe only two Loyalty missions can be done throughout the time frame in which the Reaper IFF is installed.

I don't like it how they added the IFF trigger to the mission where you pick up Legion, that makes it hard to talk things out with Legion.

I saved Talis loyalty mission as the last thing on my list of thigns to do besides the IFF.
Then I did the IFF mission, activated Legion, did Talis loyalty mission with Legion, then right after that I coudl do Legions Loyalty mission, then hit the Colletor base.

The one thing it could possibly infuence is the persuade needed to make Tali & Legion stand down. But even then, as late in the game as you get Heretic Station, I don't think 1 level is going to make THAT huge a difference in the check. Not unless it's your first game, and you don't have the XP boost that has you capped before you even get to the Collectors. Because you're probably going to go straight from Heretic Station, into the argument, and then into the end game. And that's going to happen no matter which mission you leave alongside Legion's.

I've done this! It's worth the time to do.

Quarians: Tali, you're accused of sending active Geth to the Migrant fleet.
Tali: No! I'd never endanger the Fleet!
Quarians: Who/What's that thing standing there next to you?
Tali and Shepard: That's Legion. He's part of the Normandy crew.
Tali: But I never sent Geth to the fleet!

There's a youtube vid of this (not mine) out there for those that don't want to play the scenario.

You can definitely do two missions before you lose the crew. I think you can even do one mission after and save half the crew but that's only something I read but never tried. I have done two missions before the suicide one fairly often and never had a problem which is why I was thinking about taking him to Tali's as well... because oh my what fun!
