That effing store is even worse than I realised. I'm a couple of days into a new account, trying to be really disciplined buying mostly recruit packs with an occasional veteran pack. I won't buy anything higher until my uncommon weapons are maxed out, and my number one priority is levelling up to N7 120.

Between my welcome pack Talon and the Humans, I levelled up the Engineer Class first. After switching over to the Soldier Class I bought 19 recruit packs in a row, hoping for as many character cards as possible. I got at least 15, many of the 62500xp variety. Sadly, 12 of them were human engineer upgrades! My human engineers were both already in possession of go-faster stripes and twinkly lights, so the cards were utterly, utterly worthless to me.

I never understood the business model that seemed to suggest that by giving people random useless crap they didn't need, they would consider spending real money on more random (over-priced) crap they didn't need. I'll admit that I did spend real money first time round, partly due to online-noob insecurities, but as the old expression goes: once bitten, twice shy.

And to think I'm doing this voluntarily. For fun.

I see many people giving a lot of credit to the Paladin, Venom, Lancer and Collector SMG on this site. I wouldn't know how good they are since the Paladin, Venom and Lancer are all stuck at level 3. The knife and forking CSMG's my only level 2!!!

However, what I would most like would be more levels for the Particle Rifle (one of my favourite weapons of all on the game) as it's still level 4. I would seriously trade all 10 levels of my Scorpion, 255 spare thermal clip packs, 100+ Cryo Ammo 4s and who knows how many Explosive Rounds for just a couple more levels adding to my Particle Rifle.

OT, AR amps. Didn't realise just how many of my kits use ARs until I ran out of amps.

i think i need about 20 or so URs to finish my manifest.

I desperately need SMG, AR and shotgun amps, even level 1. The store just gives me endless cryo and disruptor ammo and power recharge, or pistol or sniper amps.

Rail amps in general. Can't seem to keep 'em in stock. I wish there were an easier way to get them as even the Jumbo packs are pretty stingy.
