Our party - elven mage Fiona and the usual suspects - had just arrived at camp for the first time, and I was busy with the usual stuff like distributing kit.

I was headed in the direction of "Enchantment!" because I wanted to store left-over runes in spare weapons, when I banged my head on a cutscene. That is to say, I was teleported to a scene where Alistair was facing off Barkspawn, and the following trialogue ensued:

Alistair: Argh! Why you little...

Fiona: What? What?

Alistair: Your furry friend here took offense at me getting near his food. Snapped at me. Look...

Fiona: Well, he is a wardog.

Barkspawn: (growls angrily at Alistair)



It's never happened before, and I have no idea what triggered it. Couldn't find anything in the wiki or via Google, either. It may be related to testing the stick, as it was the first time I'd done that in camp.

In any case, I thought is was new wardens who are supposed to get the munchies, not seasoned padawans like Alistair...

Sounds like you may have accidentally clicked on Barkspawn while walking around camp. He also has cut scenes with Sten, Morrigan, and Wynne.

Good call. Barkspawn must have been somewhere close to Sandal and Bodahn, on account of my testing the stick.

Anyway, thanks for the tip. Got to go back to camp and watch some more...

A few of the cutscenes with Dog in camp are very funny. Especially the Morrigan cutscene if you choose the right dialogue choice.

I've had similar things happen though not with dog, sometimes walking around the camp at Ostagar I would get teleported to the no go zone and a guard will tell me the kings camp is closed off, I was no where near it. Or in Redcliffe I could be down in the village and suddenly Thomas is is screaming at me not to leave and I am up by the exit.

That can happen if you switch certain characters in or out of the party (Morrigan?). Gave me quite a scare.

Another misfiring cutscene: Elissa Cousland enters the room where her nephew and sister-in-law lie slain, and gets teleported outside, with the door to the living quarters still locked and the four buggers whose death unlocks that door unreachable.

Anyway, does anyone know any other places besides the Denerim market where Barkspawn might like to go shopping? That scene cracks me up every time.
