ME3 is now almost 2 years old, the vast majority of players who would've picked it up HAVE picked it up. So what's the point of having spoilers/no spoilers sections seperate? It's a pointless waste of forum & server space.

It's not like they're meant for segregating topic types like "gameplay over here, lore over there". They're both "general discussion over here, spoilers to no1, no spoilers to no2 and don't forget to wash your hands afterwards in both instances".

It's pointless! Not to mention that the ending is the most-discussed topic, as well as used as a "what NOT to do" example in other game forums so it's not like anyone's spoiling anything anymore.

Yes it is, but the forums were created this way and redoing them would probably be a waste of time and effort. Its not like its hard to check both, takes only a few seconds so why complain about it? Its not going to be remade not until ME4 forum is created so just let it go.

lol that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. they JUST redid the sub-forum structure.

It's not pointless, having two different sections makes sense. One for general topics to do with the game and another for more specific story discussion. There will still be new players two years later (ME3 is still relatively recent) and I think they'd appreciate being able to look up general topics without the forum being full of story spoilers.

If you want to tidy up the forums then why not look at the old Technical support forums and the character forum? That's five sections just sitting there. I've seen some new users come to BSN for help with an issue only to be further confused when the most obvious place to go for help is locked and they can't post. There are still useful posts in there so putting all five into one "Legacy forum" section might be a better idea than just getting rid of them though.

Waste of space? It doesn;'t use up any more server space whatsoever. The only space issue is screen space. If they were starting the forums now having one might make sense but there's no real point in changing it.

The public of the two forums are different and I like that, General Discussion doesn't have the same vitriol towards BioWare/ME3 than in Story and Campaign Discussion..

Redoing the forum structure display is a lot different then merging two areas together, even if they do everything perfectly a number of major issues can still happen, unless all existing posts will exist in a locked forum or just be outright deleted.

Are people who haven't registered their games still locked out of the spoilers forum?

If so folding one into the older might prevent some people from discussing the games.

If it leaps out of your mouth, or through your keyboard, it must be true.
