if you have level 3 consumables on shouldnt you be able to solo a gold game regardless of who's on your team? unless you're doing a derp build for challenge points farming but then you cant really complain if you were planning on getting carried to begin with
I can't solo gold no-matter what I'm using. Heck, I haven't even soloed silver. Doesn't mean I'm being carried.

You should equip lvl 1 consumables, if you join lobby and see that the other players are "gold" then you can change them, if you join mid-match and see that PUGs suck, you have nothing to loose.
This is what I started doing. My most recent missile refill run I bought Recruit Packs instead of Jumbo packs, Level 1 consumables are good enough to carry and are better than carrying with nothing at all.

Well that's kind of depressing, if you're average, I must be so far below average that I can't even see average from where I'm at.

Don't worry panther, he's only average on his own host. Otherwise I'd rather have a pug.rspanther wrote...

If we get in a good team, there are some squishy kits I would like to try, if you don't mind.

falcon vanilla HA is my go-to build for warming up and joining a lobby at random.
I've been in numerous lobbies with 2-3 players who have obviously just gotten started. I try to minimise getting surrounded by holding a good location and capitalise on their combined firepower. Even new players can still get kills if I stagger lock the incoming enemies with Cryo Ammo and soften up boss armor with BEs. Reapers/Collectors a bit more challenging because of the bumrushing bosses, important to use the mic to urge them to keep moving.
i'm at the point where gold is loleasy with 2 others who know what they're doing. I seek out non-optimal lobbies for the challenge of keeping newer players alive. I don't like selfish minmaxed kill-them-all TGI/harrier or AIU/UR shotgun builds - I favour falcon/venom even though I have a harrier V and reegar X. Scoreline at the end is usually more even, everyone gets kills and has fun.
Of course, there's the chance that the new players all run to different corners of the map and die, and the whole team wipes on wave 6. Happens roughly 3 times out of 10 newbie lobbies I've been in. Most newbies have some sense to at least stick together after sitting out a wave or two, but if they are still loling around like headless chickens after wave 3 then I get on the mic and suggest a few good locations to stick around.

Do what I do. Setup a character like a Juggy, the Edi infil, or a ghost infil (or any char you are confident in soloing gold with - for me that's a Justicar or something) and go on a search without anything other than gear. If you get thrown into a game in progress that sucks, you don't lose anything and can either quit out or solo it. If you get into a good match, those characters can do hella damage without much gear anyway so you won't be crippling good characters. Then if the group is good, you switch to a complementary character and go full gear.
Lol, Jug does meh damage even fully geared.
He is hardly even mediocre-powerfull without incendiary reeger/PPR...
Sexbot and TGI are not the most powerfull and damaging kits either BTW.

I was, imagine spawning, dying and then seeing the thing saying "WAVE FAILED WAVE 3"
like really man? REALLY???
I guess the moral of the story is - Don't die.
My advice would be - If you get tossed into a match in progress leave immediately then your consumables will not be lost but merely return to your inventory.

These games weren't all the same people, chopped and changed in lobbies, but even the guy who's best gun seemed to be a Vindicator III was clocking in over 100k on gold (sensibly using power based classes like the HE or Paladin).
Perhaps I had all the good randoms last night?

Why not? Why only play games that are brand new? If it was only a multiplayer game it would be a bit odd but I doubt many people buy ME3 for that.DeadeyeCYclops78 wrote...
i think i'm gonna start using my mic just to ask these ppl what in the world possesed them to just now start playing a game thats 2 years old? thats what baffles me more than the fact they have nothing and suck at the game...

Think of them as decoys that buy you between a few seconds and a minute to plan out how you want to handle the wave.
