I know this might seem a little presumptuous. But here it is anyway. They say the toolset will be the "same as used to create the game". With that said, it's been delayed on being released to the public for "last minute issues". Does this mean to say that the dev's used a buggy editor to create the game? How does this work?

I've worked in the industry for a while now. Often times developer tools are very buggy, but the developers have internal work arounds and solutions to the problems. Any thing for public release needs more polish then what we use behind doors. If 50 people use a tool, they can easily work around the issues instead of wasting programmers time. However if 1million users will have the tool there are going to issues popping up in the thousands. To avoid that they work with a stable but not perfect version of the editor and when the game is near done they begin to polish up the editor for pubic use. The Toolset had some problems they wanted to fix up. They would rather release something stable and useful instead of something buggy that users will be unfamiliar with and angry about.

Look at the NWN Aurora Toolset.. It was buggy tool with little functionality when it was just released. And now it's the most powerful modder's toolset with advanced scripting functions that even not used in official game in "full power".

I spent my cash for the toolset... I don't even play, just build! What a bummer!
