I can score 220K + in platinum games with friends. So what? Does it mean I'm good or "skilled"?

I can ignore bosses and kill tons of mooks then rocket wave 8,9 and 10 for clean up and end up with over 220k. It's funny how some people think this is something praise worthy. It's way too easy to look good with a full team when you only have 1/4 of aggro to deal with.

Exactly but when they're catching all the aggro rage quit

I scored just short of 200K in a Platinum game today with a friend. As we all know, score doesn't mean much. Which probably won't stop the intended bait from working, of course, and cue panic in...

3...

2...

1 and a half...

Well you may trivialize 220k, but some of us are not as skilled. If I scored 220k with friends, it would be quite a accomplishment.

Isn't the key to scoring high killing the mooks while your less experienced teammates focus on bosses?

That's what I thought it was, anyway. Meh.

lol depending on what kit i'm using sometimes i just enjoy kiting enemies around behind my teammates for lulz... I'm a bad bad man .... but damn it's funny.

It's a well known fact that there are many many tryhards among BSNers. almost as many complainers.....:o

Meh, Destroyer is much better than volus, he can stomp 'em.

Score doesn't equal skill, it just means you killed the most. Killing things usually doesn't take skill. How you go about killing things while surviving is "skill", this includes when to or when not to kill things during objective waves.

This game isn't skill based at all. It's headknowledge based. Funny but true.

How well do you know the maps/spawns?
How well do you know your character/weapon?
How well can you abuse your headknowledge of RHA?
It's all about headknowledge

Very little skill involvement

I'm just a bit surprised, thought that you retired like Stardusk and the others.

I did...

Spending all my weekend game time in shootmania atm.

Such a brilliant game, lots of well thought out, competitive features and exceptionally well designed game modes, completely balanced and forces you to play like a boss or die like a scrub.... similar to Quake / UT.

Judging by your avatar you might wanna give it a go, if you dig QL then you'll dig shootmania; precision shooter ballistic weapon mechanics, dodging/ parkour/ walljumps, momentum based movement...

No.
Killing other humans while surviving in PvP games takes skill. Killing stupidly predictable AI's while surviving doesn't...

I get outscored and I Outscore. Just like everyone else on this forum. That wasn't the reason for this thread.

Yes PvP is harder but so is having human teammates changing variables within the game.  I cannot predict what teammates will do that will change how the AI acts.
