Where are the Reapers getting all these Banshees?

According to the ingame information, you can't just make any Asari into a Banshee, they have to be an Ardat-Yakshi in order to be converted into a Banshee.
And the numbers of Ardat-Yakshi are very limited.
It seems every wave there are at least 3 Banshees floating around.
This number is just not realistically sustainable, at the rate we go through Banshees, we've have exhausted the Reaper's supply by now.

I'm sure my solo operatives are questioning the strangeness of fighting the Geth on Palaven but they don't need to know why. They just need to kill things.

Just how many people actually do that?

The Reapers probably have some sort of replication facility...

You could easily calculate it out of the world cancer incidence.

I believe they snuck in a lore update, as well, that explains that Banshees are made using technology orginally created with Aardat-Yaakshi, but which can now be applied to any Asari.

...is this a serious question? Since when is the MP directly related to the story and lore of ME3?

I always assumed those were Heretic Geth and therefore, not part of the mainstream Geth contigent.
And since the Heretic Geth serve the Reapers, I doubt anyone feels any guilt about sending them on a one way trip to Scrapville.
Including the Orthodox Geth.......

Doesn't rhyme too well but you get the idea.

This sounds like what I remember.ChrisLupton wrote...
IIRC Banshees can be made from any Asari that carries the dormant Ardat-Yakshi trait. You don't get an actual Ardat-Yakshi unless they mate with another Asarii, or possibly another Asarii who has the same trait. Therefore the pool of potential Banshees is much larger than the number of actual Ardat-Yakshi. In SP though the initial Banshees were created from actual Ardat-Yakshi.

Aardat-Yaakshi have had their lore retcon'd, so that there are considerably more of them than the estimates made in ME 2.

That's really annoying. You'd think that writers would at least keep notes on the internal logic of their writing
