Loved the Suicide Squad episode. Diggle really needs his own show.

If anything , Diggle is becoming the hero of the show for me ('Ollie' is annoying me a bit). I'm all for more Diggle, particularly his interactions with Felicity too.

Yes, didn't turn out as I expected, which was a good thing. Hong Kong looks interesting. Also can't wait for the Flash.

My enthusiasm for this show has cooled off a bit after the Season 2 finale. Don't get me wrong, I still love it, I just no longer think it's all that well planed out.

I know the shows producers were trying to make Slade look strong by having him think 2 steps ahead of Oliver and co but instead it came off as Oliver being really stupid and careless, in a show like this you have to be very careful about making your main character look incompetent ( Oliver's many failings at how he repeatedly handled the Slade Wilson issue cost him his mother, his sister, his house, his company, all his money, his girlfriend/lover and the lives of hundred and thousands of innocent people ).

I'm also concerned about the Oliver/Felicity thing, I like Felicity but I really don't want this show to go down this route. It's pandering to the fan base and the sad thing is once the show goes down this route there will be no going back there will be no going back, if the relationship between the 2 does not work out then the friendship between the 2 will always be strained. Oliver has practically slept with every attractive female he has come into contact with minus Felicity ( let's not forget he has illegitimate child out there somewhere ), if he crosses that line with Felicity then I'm afraid I will end up losing all respect for him as a human being, he's just to big a man ******.

Oliver is kind of a screw up.

Excited for season 3, but I hope they don't spend a huge amount of time on "Olicity" I don't really care about Oliver's love life.

Who do we want to play Ra's? I keep thinking about which Spartacus veteran could do the part, but I get nothing. I could live with Alexander Siddig (although he's on other shows including GoT) or Oded Fehr (who, I believe, voiced Ra's in some animated thing already).

Oded Fehr as the Demon for sure. I hope Ted Grant/Wild Cat is a mentor to Laurel and not a love interest like they seem to be hinting at. Hope Grundy comes back in a Halloween episode. Roy's Arsenal/Red Arrow suit is badass. Fine ass Willa Holand (Thea Merlyn) is hitting the gym hard. Arrow and Flash are crossing over right before the mid season finale. And Brandon Routh (Superfail, though it wasn't his fault) is Ray Palmer aka the Atom.

Oh and did I mention that Hong Kong is going to be badass? Because it is.

Binge watched both seasons recently. Overall, I like it and I'll keep watching, but there's some things that bug me.

  •  I'm still undecided on whether or not Amell is intentionally being wooden when he's being dumb billionaire Oliver, since I think he's quite good when being the Arrow and generally comes across as a really charismatic guy from the few interviews I've seen. He has noticeably improved and grown into the part, tho.
  • This is a common thing whenever superheroes are involved in general, but every now and then it's ridiculous when someone like Laurel doesn't recognize Oliver or Sara when they're standing right in front of her, at times in pretty well lit areas. Maybe a hood and smearing some paint around your eyes is the most perfect disguise imaginable, I don't know.
  • The training montages feel super awkward, though thankfully they're not as in-your-face or frequent anymore. I get that he's a handsome dude and ripped to shreds, but the presentation in those scenes just makes me feel unclean with how crass they are. The female equivalent would almost be just someone spreading their vagina right in front of the camera, and even then I'm not sure if it would be as graphic. I get having some eye candy around, but at least try to put some effort into it, rather than just going "ok, so here we'll have the blatant porn montage of Oliver doing pullups that doesn't relate to anything going on". For a Bioware related example of something similar, look at the loving, lingering ass shots Miranda gets.

I didn't really know Oliver and Felicity was this huge "thing" among the fanbase until after finishing the second season, but I think it would be a good thing if they stick with it for probably however long the show ends up running, partly because of them having great chemistry, but also because then they'd hopefully steer clear of one of my biggest annoyances that the CW is especially guilty of in their shows: turning the show into a goddamn dating sim/high school drama.

It's beyond annoying when shows that theoretically have so much more to work with start to revolve 90% around who is dating who. Then before you know it, every single member of the main cast has either just had casual sex with each other, or even better, been in a "super srs, omg ur liek my soulmate" relationship with everyone else (in addition to random guest characters popping in for a quick lay). Any additional value that a romance arc could have is rendered completely hollow when Character A has over the course of the show's run more or less sworn their undying devotion and eternal love to Characters B-Z, switching between them seemingly at random and the viewer is treated to an "emotional" breakup scene in every other episode with sh***y indie band #67 providing the whiny soundtrack. It just completely devalues any kind of interpersonal relationships between the characters and the characters themselves. Pick something to build towards and let it simmer in the background, and let the main focus be on the superheroey stuff. Please.

That got a bit rant-y.

Brandon Routh will always be Shaw to me.

I know this is unlikely because of the show's budget, but i wish that Liam Neeson would reprise his role as Ra's Al Ghul.

Especially unlikely since they've already casted Matt Nable as Ra's.

The Season 3 premiere was quite the game changer.

For anybody that hasn't seen it yet, I suggest you do so.

As for my thoughts:
