I'm probably the last person to be new at Dragon Age: Awakening, and I'm only doing my third play through.
I'm trying to finish as many quests as possible and I'm having trouble with Wade...
 
He asks me to fetch a lot of items for his armor quests, and I did find many of those. But that was before I got the quests and I didn't think twice about selling some, until he asked me to bring them to him. For example he needed cotton padding for the golem armor, but I sold the padding in Amaranthine and now I can't find the merchant who bought it.

Am I totally scr*w*d to a point where I have to start all over again and begin putting the items in my personal storage until Wade decides he needs them?

If you can not retrieve the items you sold, then you can not complete the quest. There's a work around for the PC, but you can not do it on a console.

I'll try again on my next PT. Would think the quest should close once you've blown it, I hate those unfinished quests that keep hanging around in the quest journal.....
