Hello, I am now an official contributor to the Mass Effect category on the Quizup game. Quizup is an iPhone game (believe it is now on Android as well) that allows players to play quizzes on over 300 topics against each other. Mass Effect is one of the topics.

 

I am looking for more questions, as I am a contributer to the game, and would like the topic to expand, as many people play it.

 

If you have any good trivia questions you think would be good for the quiz, post them here, along with the correct answer and three incorrect answers, and I add them to the game.

I know you can have 51 names and have shepard live. 49 on the wall and two weren't on the wall making it 51
You can have 54 names with 50 on the wall and four weren't on the wall with Shepard dead.
Of course the wall only for squadmates and crew that served on the Normandy(SR1 and SR2) plus Anderson.

With that playthrough I never kept count.

I had a quick look at what this QuizUp is and it sounds like a fun idea. I might contribute later, but I'm a bit worried about some of the questions thrown in so far. I mean, just imagine some new fan to the Mass Effect series getting some of those questions and being utterly stumped. That's no fun. And even me, having played all games dozens of times, including all story DLC, can't answer all of those. Like the amount of name space on the Normandy's memorial wall - how are you supposed to know that? It seems unnecessarily specific and I don't think it's a good question. Or most of nokori3byo's questions revolving around ambient dialogue. How about relevant lore questions, or historic ones? So far I only really approve of congokong and MrFob's questions, to be honest.

An example of something that most Mass Effect players would know, yet might require some thinking:

Which of the following conflicts is the most recent?

1. The Krogan Rebellion
2. The Morning War*
3. The Unification War
4. The Rachni Wars

(edit: changed 'oldest' to 'most recent' since Turian history isn't referred to a whole lot.)

That's a way to provide a question that doesn't require intimate knowledge of the smallest of details, while (hopefully) having you consider the universe of Mass Effect at the same time. I don't know, that just seems like more fun to me, personally.

I mean no offense with this, just a friendly nudge to think about what you're contributing I don't have a smart phone myself, but I'm just imagining what it would be like to look up Mass Effect on this quiz app thing and get some borderline impossible questions. Where's the fun in that?

How hard is it to count the number of spaces on the wall?  Not hard at all. You know Anderson dies and depending on your playthrough Shepard's name is put on the wall. The two columns give you 48 and two in the middle give you 50.
