On BSN: It seems to me, that what I see, is carrying teammates, and Pugs DOA.
Anyways, it seems like based on what I see with posts, that many have given up on reviving teammates as doing so will usually fail the mission.
Is it now normal and acceptable behavior to not revive downed teammates as proper player ettiquette this far into the game's lifespan?
I'm a wee bit most curious as to the behavior deemed normal to PUG matches as I have not played with random players for a while.
Do you even revive teammates anymore?

Yes. This is in fact a co-op game. If I want to solo, I can set the lobby to private

Unless I'm pissed, I'll revive everyone.

I'm not as willing to run headlong across the map just to revive someone as I once was, but otherwise I do my best to revive anyone, unless someone else gets there first.

I feel guilty if I don't revive my teammates (unless it is an objective wave and they are on the other side of the map .. then screw em').
This instinct has cost me a few times; I can normally reign it in, but sometimes the lemming like instincts kick in.
"Hmm, yeah i know there's 2 banshee's and a brute on top of him, and 2 ravagers at range with a line of sight .. but I can revive him with my Drell Adept no problem, right???!!!"

Yes except when you decide to hold the middle on rio even after being revived 10+ times.

I'll revive anyone in a situation where we'll end up with 4 active player instead of 2 active players. I revive others with the expectation that they will revive me if the time calls for it.

If it's possible without killing myself, sure. Usually I am the only player with the 5 revives medal unfortunately..

Yes. But when it's that one guy who wants to go all Rambo off on his own and dirtnaps on the opposite side of the map, from where the team is, no he dies. I'm not running becuase you decided you don't need help.

I will revive anyone unless they are repeatedly missiling spawns on objectives or extraction.

Don't confuse some BSNers with the actual game play, I revive and see people revive plenty in the game
Only time I don't revive is when they are in a dangerous spot and it is too risky to try and revive them.

I would hope there wouldn't be much reviving on extraction.FatherOfPearl wrote...

I'm not as quick as I was. In the old days, it was the first thing I'd do as soon as I saw the revive marker (with friends, it sometimes still is.) Now... I tend to finish killing what I'm shooting at, first, and then go. It's only a few seconds, but I've noticed a difference.

I'll revive, unless they play like morons that's never heard of cover and die every other second or run off and die on the other side of the map.

Depends on the situation for me. Most of the time I will revive anyone cause I enjoy doing it so they don't have to spectate me the whole time. That said, I don't revive teammates that are not helping with the objective on an objective wave unless I HAVE to have them alive for me to get it done which isn't often. I also typically don't revive people if it is going to cost me a lot of consumables, but I make an exception for friends with that if I still have plenty of ops/gels/or missiles and can get them without risking a wipe.
A lot of it just depends on my mood as well. If I am relaxing and just playing to goof off then I will almost always revive regardless of whether I risk a wipe or not. If I am playing because I just want to kill AI cause I had a rough day then I am far less likely to revive anyone unless they fall over at my feet.

I judge everyone with a watchful eye and if they play like they don't even know that the game has objectives then I say to thee: have fun sitting at the spectator screen.

I will always try to revive my friends. And as for PuG's, nope. Not anymore!

I always try to when it's possible, but it really depends on the circumstances.
Like, for instance, if we're on an objective wave, and a teammate goes down and their body is being camped by four Phantoms and two Dragoons when there are still more devices to be disabled, I probably won't try to get to them, even with a rocket. The reason being that with more devices left to disable, if I go and hit them all with a rocket, with ME3's 'brilliant' spawn system, those same four Phantoms and two Dragoons will instantaneously spawn somewhere else. Possibly right in front of me as I'm reviving my teammate getting me AND my teammate sync-killled (wouldn't be the first time) or right on top of my other teammates as they're disabling the next device, getting them sync-killed in the process.
It just depends. However, on non-objective waves, I almost always at least try. Sometimes I pay for it too, but I try anyway.

Until such time as they have clearly revealed themselves to be either a leech or a douche, yes, I will continue to revive them to the best of my ability whenever it is reasonable to do so (i.e. not if it will cost us an objective or result in a revive circle-jerk).

This for me as well.
When with friends, though, I'll race them to revive the PUG. It's a little competition.

Since I've become a bit better at the game, I judge the situation and will revive if I'm able to ... I used to charge straight for the downed player, but have found this is detrimental to the team in some situations (objectives, and suicide - with suicide often resulting in one player going down, then another trying to revive, then all 4 players get clustered and overrun with each trying to revive the other - ick).
If we're using mics, I will let the other players know I can't get to the downed player. Also, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt and will revive regardless of how they're playing. They may be ignorant to the game, may be having a bad game, etc ... I don't assume that someone is trolling or being a jackass, etc. Yes, I could get trolled easily - but this is a team game and I'll do my best to help out teammates if I'm able.
For example, earlier today in one match I revived one (new-ish) player about 5 times in quick succession. They learned from their mistakes though and hardly went down the rest of the game. I enjoy seeing this happen because it means they are learning and getting better - and honestly, I'm not that good and have plenty to learn myself - so I always appreciate fellow pugs reviving me.
