Yes when a crab is around and I think there's a good chance I can get them fed...

I pretty much never revive a pug unless he's in my way and there's no enemy around. I may broaden the range of situations a bit if he proved to be a good player in either that match or previous one(s).

I try to... Even if they go down again and again. Never hurts to keep a decoy alive as much as possible :D

Ideally the more bullets they soak up the less I do!

My criteria, in order of importance is:
1. Will I die if I try to revive them?
2. Will THEY die if I do revive them?
3. Will this just lead to a revive train?
4. Does them being alive really benefit the team (ie can they hold their own, kill enemies, help with objectives, etc.)? This is the least important, but has kept me from reviving people. If, in my opinion, they aren't doing anything to help the team (not even being a good meatshield), then why should I revive them?
In short, yes, I revive teammates about 95% of the time. And like wufpup said, I will usually give noobs one or two "freebies," and if they learn from their mistakes then I am even more likely to revive them later in the game or in future games.

Whenever I can without risking too much.

This for me as well.

When with friends, though, I'll race them to revive the PUG. It's a little competition. Image IPB

That's my PuG revive. Mine!

Yes I would feel like a p****k if I didn't at least try and revive and be a team player.

There are times however where it is impossible to do so safely or when leaving a difficult escort or hack to save someone far away is just not worth it

It's good to do it at least once for each person in a PUG to establish goodwill, unless you never die.

But I'm sure that's not a problem for BSN and its 0 fitness, no consumable tryhard builds.

I play 90% PUG matches and I try to revive everyone no matter how much they suck.
Unless they are AFK or haven't helped out with the objectives

Half the people in this thread seemingly should only be playing solo games.since they play solo anyway and are afraid to play the ultimate challenge, playing well and keeping others alive.

Once in a blue moon I need pugs' help for objectives. That's usually when the mission fails, but still, the success rate is higher with pugs than when soloing.

Plus, on host phantoms. I can't solo against Cerberus without a staggering power/weapon without getting cancer, so...

I will revive anyone, anytime if I am able. I will disengage my fights and run all the way across a map to revive someone. I will use rockets and consumables to do it. I am a medic at heart. Sometime it ends badly, but I will leave that match knowing that my teammates can depend on me. I almost always see it returned if I am having a bad match....the guy I just revived ten times will revive me when I most need it. Perhaps this playstyle is why I have 255 medigels and 15 ops packs lol.

I guess I just take it as pride that my teammates can play a little looser with me around. I can carry a match at any level if I'm on my game and sometimes I have to do that, but I won't let people die just so I can show off. However, there are fewer feelings more powerful in this game than to biotic charge at the last second to stagger the four mobs surrounding the corpse of a pug'r, revive them, destroy every mob around them, and then zip out. Or when you stagger the guy about to stomp the player and save the guy at the last second.

The worst is when you revive that crappy Jugg player several times only to have him walk right OVER your downed body and never even think to revive. Will I still revive him when he falls.....yes. We need more players who support rather than loathe the co-op nature of this game, whether or not the player is good or bad (glitchers excluded!)

I always revive pugs but only under 2 conditions:

1) It's safe to do so.
2) He/she has been contributing to the objectives and has been making an honest effort to make the mission a success...otherwise I see them as just a useful meatshield

I'll revive anyone within range, if I can. Meaning you aren't surrounded by 4 phantoms or (insert sync killer of choice here.) and sometimes I'll be generous and waste missiles. Unless it's an objective round and you're ****ing off somewhere else. Then, I'm just going to spit on your body as the drone goes by your sorry ass. :)

This.  If you can, it's polite to do so and usually helpful.  *Most* people AFAICT won't be trying to grab the pizza and hide with it, or to kill all their teammates with the reactor button, or lashing possessed abominations towards you, or otherwise actively making completion less likely.

However, there's much less reason to try to revive somebody when they're down completely in the open with heavy firepower aimed at that location.  Even if you're an Infiltrator and can cloak to reduce the risk to yourself... not much has been achieved if they're going to go down again before they can get to cover, and you might just have to write them off until the next wave.

I still revive pugs, but I will keep track of how well the team members are playing. If two players are down, I tend to revive the better player first. A really crappy player I might not bother with at all, especially if I'm playing a squishy build. Not worth it.

I revive everyone except those who refuse to use consumables. How are decoys going to do their job lying down?

I think the most fun part of the game is epic, heroic revs for dudes who are trying their best.

I almost always try, often even when I shouldn't. I've tried to get better about knowing when to break and run but that helper instinct still gets me into trouble a lot. I'll see that the situation is not ideal but I must try to help my battle buddy.

When someone is consistently displaying leechy or other blatant non-helpful behavior I generally stop reviving them at some point. Well unless they are the camping style leechers, by which I don't mean the camping playstyle but the "get swarmed and bleed out so they don't get disconnected and still get the credits" thing. I will park on them and revive until they get kicked from the game, if I can.

Depends. If they're in the middle of a kill-zone, surrounded by Scions/Ravagers/Turrets, or off on the other side of the map during objectives, probably not. Otherwise, sure, I'll make the attempt to revive if it seems feasible.

Depends on the situation. Usually Situations like enemies all around him/her, they've died too many times so It wastes precious time, 3 seconds to extraction, etc...

Yes, but I will clear the area first to avoid a dangerous situation if I go for the revive. No use getting myself killed to save someone else, that is just plain stupid. I value my own life above everyone else, no exceptions for this rule as I have seen many times the other 3 teammates completely buckling if I somehow manage to get myself sync-killed.

Why do you need to revive them? Like what Krogans say "THEY'RE DEAD!"
