Writers are on a "word budget" and romances are the most costly of them. It takes a lot of money to create the dialog for those romances, as well as animation, voice acting, ect. Gaider talked at Gaymer Con about why they've chosen the more "pansexual" or "herosexual" route. If you have the time, I'd really recommend the romance panel for Gaymer Con. It's up on youtube.
Here's the link if you'd like to check it out. It's insightful and pretty funny in parts.
Just warning you from the start: These threads rarely end well, even if you mean well OP.

What do you mean "again"? Sebastian was ladies-only.
Technically, depending on how you classify a romance, he wasn't even open to the ladies.

It counts. Not everything is to be driven by physical actions and blind lust.

I can't say how many people classify romance as ejaculating inside someone, but I can say they're all wrong.Fast Jimmy wrote...

Seconded. Chaste or not, that's still a full fledged romance. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own. He's just unusual for BioWare; too often in all of their games, the romance is only really secure once the sex happens.

ME1: 2 straight romances, 1 bi romance
ME2: 6 straight romances, 1 bi romance
DA:O- 2 straight romances, 2 bi romances, several minor bi romances (sexual encounters).
ME3 and DA:2 just threw gayness and bisexuality up in our faces. Also, trannies in the **** house? Come on now.
Interpret this as "hate" if you wish, but I simply desire realistic romances if they choose to include romances at all. It is not at all realistic where each companion is bi or some stupid name like "player-sexual"

You heard it here first: gay romance is unrealistic.
Considering that's not even close to what they said, you just want something be offended about, don't you?

Too unrealistic. I liked how they did it in ME1 and ME2, as well as DA:O.

You honestly draw the line for realism at 4 bi people, when we have a world with dragons, darkspawn, blood magic, and Qunari?
