If companions are "playersexual" I hope it will be a different path for each sex.

Race should play a large role in how the romance plays out, but gender really shouldn't. It may be hard for a lot of people to believe, but except for physical differences gender really doesn't change all that much when it comes to relationships.

Babies. I want to be able to talk babies T_T

My guess would be that it cheapens the personality and character of the companion. At least that would be my reasoning for why playersexual sucks.

I don't see how it's any less cheap than Alistair loving my insane bloodmage or Morrigan my white knight let's pet the puppies.

Opposites in personalities can lead to attraction.

And I continue to hate this explanation.  Sexuality does not define personality outside of stereotypes.

Except it's completely ignored (unlike say the rivalry mance where said clashes are at least acknowledged).

actually like pretty much anything. their are people who are largely defined by their sexuality, then are people who aren't though I admit people assuming the frormer is the case is somewhat annoying.

Heh. Try telling homophobe Americans that. Especially in Texas.

First, don't paint a whole country, state or "province" with the same brush.

Second, Russians are the real offenders on the homophobic front.

I want to be able to talk about babies too!

Cause, y'know, it's a risk with a straight couple unless one of them is infertile...
Even if Thedas has birthcontrol, wich I've seen no evidence of.

Wynne talks about mages having some means of birth control.

Oh, I did not remember that. Still, that doesn't help my rogue or warrior character unless she talks to a mage about it.

Wynne said only that her child was taken by templars from her.

Do you see any contradiction in these statements?

Nope, Wynne does make a brief mention about birth control to Alistair:

Alistair: So you... mentioned you had a son? What happened to him?
Wynne: I honestly don't know, Alistair. He was... taken from me. Such births are seldom, as there are ways to prevent it, but it does happen. And any child born to a Circle mage belongs to the Chantry.
Alistair: I... didn't know. I'm sorry.
Wynne: It's all right. It was a long time ago. A very long time ago.
Alistair: Couldn't you do something about it?
Wynne: Do what? I was weak from the birthing process and there were... no, there was nothing I could do.
Alistair: Do you think about him?
Wynne: All the time.

If NPC’s are player sexual then i will not be doing any of the romances, i don’t want NPC’s so i can get laid with everyone but real people to play in the story.

Still a video game though... so your arbitrary decision that a character is not "real" because their romance plot is available to both player sexes - as opposed to not being "real" because they are, in fact, not real - is ridiculous.

Care to revise it, then? Or are you happy with blanket accusations of homophobia as long as they're directed elsewhere? Are you from Texas by any chance?

California actually, and I was attempting to make a serious point while simultaneously being funny.

It may be ridiculous to you but i like consistent companions that can be reused in different games with the same personality and not changed so people can get laid with everyone and made cheap.
When you know a person you also know approximately how they will react to certain situations in life but if they keep changing to suit different people then they become cheap and you never know how they will react.
Why would i befriend an NPC if i know they can be changed at someone’s whim?
