No thank you.
Honestly, can't we just all get along?
What Novacain said.
Oh and yeah, can we just get over it that we have different opinions? This is an antagonistic argument.
Who's with me?
You're in a thread called "Let's hate on Liara..."
Either start hatin or get on out of here!

She's petite & intelligent. That can be quite attarctive. Ashley's more the raw athelectic type. That can also be quite attractive. I think they can both do with a better looking face though.
You are very right - well about the first part anyway - they are both very different and appeal to different people.
Personally I like Liara a lot and Ashley is a good character regardless that I am not much of a fan of her.
No reason to belittle anyone about their opinion though.
Ya, cause every time I've established a telepathic link with someone, I feel like running a couple miles afterwards!
Seriously, that sounds like a dude talking to a woman who just went through labor and asking her why she isn't up and run around the room.
I think when she is "resting" it's more about sorting out the visions/thoughts/memories/etc. of the other person.
You just quoted the wrong post, right?
Otherwise I don't really follow you.

Liara is jailbait, you pedos. I'm telling Chris Hanson on you.
She's centuries older than you are. More like teleiophile. Besides looks can be
deceiving.
If you were to hear a girl say to someone "Amongst my people I'm
considered barely more than a child," that means they are like 15 or 16 not
19 or more. I’m just saying she says she’s basically a teenage girl that no one
in her school respected and when Shepard is nice to her she falls in love (which
happens to guys in authority over teen girls, which is why men in that position
have to be very careful). That’s the way it played out to me and that’s why I
can’t go for her. I don’t hate her or anything but she just lost all appeal to
me when she said that line after you find her. She also has a father complex by
the way which just make it weirder.

Because you can have the convo with her about her dad watching on from the afterlife. And because of her scolding the Salarian for committing Hara-kiri lol...As far as I know, only the "christian" based religions find suicide to be "unforgivable"

Liara is considered young BY HER PEOPLE. Who live a THOUSAND years.
She still had 106 to experience life.
The question is at what age she reaches physical and mental maturity; which I imagine is still in her 20's or maybe 30's. She's obviously reached physical maturity.
The fact that she practically has a Ph. D in anything Prothean is reason enough to believe that she has lived as an adult as long as anyone of us would, probably longer.
She's only considered young by standards set out by her own race, which lives to their thousands.

Seriously, what is the intention of these "Hate this, hate that"-Threads? Neither Liara nor Ashley deserve it, to be hated by anyone. They are different, and some will prefer Liara, some will prefer Ashley. However, just cause you like one of them more, does that leave you to hate the other one?
It seriously makes me sick to read that crap all and all over again. ~~

It's because it takes you to hate the other to truly love another.RyuKazuha wrote...

I suppose the reason I prefer a strong woman both physically/mentally is because my mother had to be as I grew up. She held down 2 jobs while my grandmother and uncle did squat to help her out at all. (another story altogether) So IMO a woman needs to be strong in all aspects of the word, or else I tend not to respect them. Dont like them to be clingy either....If I want clingy, I looked to my cat Cleo (she's as clingy as they get lol) So, under a normal circumstance, I can see where the appeal is for Liara. But Im far from normal lol
Thats an excellent post and view point. The main reason I actually chose Liara lol...as apposed to you (though strong women can be nice in the right circumstances) I want a woman to be a woman (old fashioned sense)...not regarding work etc....but in her manerisms and the way she conducts herself...
If I wanted the 'Ash' strong brash loud mouthed type...I'd date a guy lmao
Like has been said many times, different strokes for diff folks (though did romance Ash with my first male shep).

True... but lots of religions have an afterlife, and this is 200 years in the future, maybe she follows some bizarre evolution of Pastafarianism which has become a true religion by this time? I've never gone with her to Noveria, so I don't know exactly what she says, but maybe, as a hardassed grunt, she is berating him for cowardice rather than sin? I dunno... I am approaching this discussion from a position of ignorance, so feel free to ignore me if I'm talking [poopy].

Ash only said ''its a shame god only gives you one shot at life'' nothing bad. And i doubt she is against suicide considering she was willing to sacrifice herself on virmire.

No, you're not talking poopity-poop lol. It's a legitamite angle...I admit BioWare is a little vague on this aspect of her character and probably did so on purpose. I suppose it more "assumed" she is a christian etc. due to innuendo of context than actual "facts."

Actually, scraficing oneself is considered "Martyrdom" and not suicide. There is a fine line of difference here. Razor-thin fine, but it is there none the less.
