There is no trade-off between omni-bow and cain mines (skip concussive bows - they're terribad) - he's fragile no matter what you do with him.

LULZ!!!! You haven't seen someone who can play the Talon properly if you truly believe this.tjbearpig wrote...
Even cain mine spam isn't really cheesy in the long run. Sure you can nuke spawns and pop thermal clip packs like an addict, but when you run out it takes about 2 waves of waiting and ammo box hogging to replenish the grenade count to full capacity. Also note that enemies have to be breathing down each other's necks for maximum effectiveness. A reave spamming justicar could probably do more damage overall lol
Edit: Except maybe on glacier

I find it amazing how many awful talon players there given that cain mines and omni-bows take no skill and are ridiculously OP on host. I've not played him on platinum personally but a number of times I've used him on gold I've noticed other players tend to leave the game out of frustration of not being able to keep up and I feel like a kill stealling trolly asswhole with the bows and the cain spam.

says the Omni-Bow doesn't take skill. Doesn't use Concussive Arrows because they are terribad.

I think he's fun to play with a Bow build. Just use a Cyclonic. Cain Mines are actually kind of fun to use as traps instead of spamming them. Works really well to prevent those filthy Dragoons from whipping you in the back.
4000+ damage to anything not armored, 6000+ to armor, spamable nukes that you can carry more than 20 of, if you are coordinated you can speed run platinum without any missiles in less than 10 minutes, Nothing else can compete with the raw dps of cain spam,Sentient Toaster wrote...
Don't have the kit yet, but not clear to me that it could be cheesier than cloak + Snap Wallhax...

They're terribad because they're pointless by comparison. Not worth the 21 points. You'd maybe use them on Phantoms and then you'd switch back to armor piercing bows when their shields are down anyway.

The Talon is the Reegar of classes. Do I need to add anything more?

Yes if you can stay alive without a doubt the highest DPS win class in the game. If Cain Mine actually were fixed to reliably hit enemies within their proximity, not explode when spammed, and be blocked by ****** power bubbles, it would be a fun kit. Great idea, ****** poor implementation which should be the tagline for all things EA.

The only thing this kit needs is a good stagger, prefferably AoE weapon that allows easy bow action in between shots.

why would you switch to AP arrows on a Barrierless Phantom?

They regenerate fast enough and you can pick them up at boxes so running out is not a massvie issue. Can you reave a possessed praetorian to death just by dancing out of his range behind cover and plopping down 3 mines, repeat a few times?
He is cheesy believe me. As I said, i play him like garbage and still usually scores big against both mooks and bosses. A good efficient player would totally wreck with this class just spamming mines.
