I have a few extra bucks, and I wanted to nab the Origins UE for my computer, since I can run both KOTORS, and I'm currently running TOR, Baulder's Gate, etc with no problems

But JUST to be on the safe side, I'm doing a stat post quick

Computer: Laptop w/ Windows 7
2,20GHZ
64 Bit Operating System
6GB
451 OS of 581GB on my hard drive apparently

I'm assuming it'd run with lowest graphics set?

I'd tend to assume that you could comfortably run DA, provided you have a decent graphics card (most modern laptops do).

I used to run DA on the lowest graphics setting very smoothly on a weaker machine than yours.

Do you know what your CPU is and what graphics you have? A lappy with a separate graphics card will likely run it fine, but a lot of lappies have graphics integrated with the CPU and that can be problematic.

I just got my laptop a year or so ago actually, copyright 2009, I think my graphics card is possibly ang family hd thing.... so I'm assuming, it'd just run the lowest settings? I already put my order through for the game....

@Mouse

My thing CPU is an Intel Core ™ i3-2330M

I believe he has an integrated graphics card. Based on his CPU this should be a Intel® HD Graphics 3000.

Don't worry, the game will run just fine.

ooooh an Intel HD Grahpics Card 3000 sounds really nifty LOL

Could it play a game like Skyrim? Or would my poor laptop kneel over and die?

and good to hear, since I just dropped the 20 bucks for the UE LOL

I've heard horror stories of EA's...DRM? What is that exactly?

Also... is Origins moddable? Cuz I began to mod KOTOR and I'm never going back to the vanilla version again

Solomon's revenge, movie robes, and saber hilts :o

If the games runs on your PC then you can mod it. You may want to start here, with some of these mods.

Yeeees!

Also what's the diff between a PC vs a Mac version? I bought the PC version, and I'm pretty sure a PC Download= Steam?

You might be pushing it a bit with Skyrim; although you may, theoretically at least, be able to run it on the minimum settings. In fact, there's a mod for Skyrim which allows antiquated systems to run it.

I wouldn't think there would be any difference between the PC and Mac versions. One will run on Windows and the other on Macs.

Also, I'm afraid I think you overpaid for the UE. I picked it up at the weekend for £5 at GAME.

Any other RPG's I could possibly run?

Well it's a great game, so I suppose it doesn't matter how much you pay for it so long as you enjoy it. I ran Fallout New Vegas on my old laptop on low settings. Fallout 3 didn't work on that machine, however, and I've read that's quite a common problem. Come to think of it, I was playing Fallout 3 on this machine (W8) a few months ago and experienced crashing issues.

I'm sure you could easily run Oblivion, if you don't already have it?

Yup I have Oblivion for 360, but I haven't played that in years

I wish they'd remake Morrowwind
