This movie was far better then I would have initially guessed when I first saw the trailer.

Fantastic movie. The main villain was bland and forgettable, tho. He was exactly like the evil elf from Thor: Dark World.

 

Also, Vin Diesel should have played Drax.

Anyone else notice that a bunch of stuff in the ads didn't show up in the theatrical release? I hope the bluray has an extended cut.

Are you implying that Vin Diesel is a worse actor than Dave Bautista? Actually Vin and Dave are two of the most surprising things about this movie. I was expecting "I Am Groot" to get old real fast and I was surprised at how much mileage James gun and Vin Diesel were able to get out of it. As for Bautista, having any other pro wrestler beside the 'The Rock' play a major role in a major Hollywood film doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the final product and yet I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked his Drax. I I still think Mamoa would have done a better job but Bautista did not suck.
