"N6 mercenaries"?

.    Yes.it is mentioned in the codex,or Brooks mentioned it.they are former alliance soldiers .they  were kicked out because of misconduct. Kay leng is a former n6 officer too.

I thought lang was a former n7 operative (like Anderson & shepard), though I guess that means at some point he had an n6 rating?

I thought they were "Category 6" which was the name for Alliance soldiers who were dishonorably discharged.

actually they were called cat6, in reference to the nickname for alliance category 6 washouts. someone said something about n6 mercs, I figured they were referring to ex-n rated alliance commandos.

:crying: I played this citadel dlc a couple of times and this one annoying thing is creeping me out. You are chasing and fighting the N6 mercenaries in the citadel archives. Then  you encounter the Shepclone. The clone is holding Brooks and treathens to shoot her. The clone demands that Shepard and his team lay down their guns. And this is what bugs me so much. Really ! Shepard . You lay down your gun. All your friends lay down their's!  So now they can be killed without any resistance! But we are lucky. Cloneshep has a speech for us. Would it not have been possible to give us players an intervention option! Shooting Brooks trough her shoulder and wounding cloneshep or something whatever. I mean my Femshep surrendering like this it is so OUT OF CHARACTER. I hate it. So what do you think? Am i right on this one?

I'm with you on this OP. My shep was a renegade who shot hostages before and even let them die for the sake of his objective. Suddenly he's putting down his weapon to save one person?? It annoyed me the most on my first playthrough because I already thought there was something up with Brooks and her whole "getting captured" crap. Actually, if it were left up to me I wouldn't have brought her from the start considering how she behaved in the restaurant et al. That goofy act would have gotten her sent out of my apt fast legit or not.

While I agree in general wit you, OP, I think that is just a minor plothole.
There were much more severe problems in the ME series plotwise even if you ignore the ending (And they didn't bother me too much, either, while the ending did).

It is a scene that cannot be taken seriously at all.

Shepard stopped being most people's character within the first ten minutes of ME3...

While I enjoy the Citadel DLC piecemeal, the entire tone is annoying considering how the game ends and what is at stake.
Anderson could be killed at anytime and is fighting for his life
and he wants shepard to have an apartment?

The following scene where Shepard is going "I don't really sound like that... do I?", especially if trapped with Shepard's love interest, makes it worth it. First time I played it, it was Femshep romancing Garrus and the two were trapped together and I thought it was very lol-worthy.

I remember the Citadel DLC promising me "one last battle" with my "previous friends"; so how come Jack wasn't involved in CAT6 battle?
