I like the Acolyte on Phantom heavy waves as well on Plat especially on tight maps, one shot then overload usually dispatches infantry including phantoms a little faster for me than the PPR. There probably is no need for a secondary on larger maps but I like being prepared for anything.

But can your cheeze abuser oneclip nonpossesed plat crab without landing him? My good guy AP-user can. :innocent:

I used to struggle with phantoms on a small maps. I've forced myself to do several Glacier solos with it. Now I enjoy to verse the on-host phantoms with dat setup. Acolyte would brake the fun.

You have to warp them while grounded and pray no one is stupid enough to bring up the bubble while they're in the air which stops the DOT of warp and the incendiary rounds. AP and warp rounds are better up front/easier damage, incendiary lets you multitask a bit more. I'll warp a possessed Scion/brute etc and start on him with the PPR then target switch at roughly half armor and know it's going to die. I use the incendiary more for the Acolyte though for FE on small targets while moving around perfect on wave nine Collectors Plat etc. One phantom is easy enough though, warp to bubble then melt her ass, the problem is three phantoms and a few other ranged targets.

We save it for celebration after we win wars. No need to show off during battle, like Quarians.

Nope, no modded controller. I just have a very fast right trigger finger.

First order of business when the XBox arrives is to switch your configuration around to match the one I'm used to on PS3, though. If I had to try and fire my gun with the R2 back bumper, I'd lose my mind.

same here. i've gotten pretty damn good at firing that trigger really fast. after a few games though it starts to hurt and then i get lazy and switch to something like the lancer.
also, love that gif.

No warp to bubble, overload deals 2000-3000 direct damage to her barriers, than headshot the beach. as soon as you tear through barrier she is done. With a pair-trio of phantoms remember that she will start roll (and stop shooting) as soon as lazor touch her, they can be CCed with lazor.

Never had a big problems (at least on-host or without gruesome lag) with wave 9 collectors plat or waves 4-7-10 carebears gold, even on most phantom-filled plat carebears. Phantoms are not gonna bumrush you like their boyfriends. And those just fckn melt from lazor to the head.

Ofc lolcolyte is effective on any kit. But I kinda find the gun cheap and boring. I have more fun dealing with OH-phantoms my way,
