Why do you think Hawke and the Warden disappeared?

Hawke has more of a reason to do so, as he was part of the reason the war started at all.
So, speculation.
With Morrigan confirmed to be back and Flemeth being a demigod that can be in multiple places at the same time, I am fairly sure either of them had something to do with the two heroes.
That, or it's a crappy excuse to not have them in DA3.

They both went through the Eluvian, seriously not that hard to figure out.

Honestly, I assumed that after my Surana Warden left the world to join Morrigan through the Eluvian, they returned, and my Hero of Ferelden went to Denerim to petition the King and Queen as allies in Morrigan's grand plan for the world. I'm fairly certain they are opposing Flemeth's goal with one of their own.Pateu wrote...
When meeting Alistair he says the Warden should be in Denerim by now, yet by the end of the game, Leliana is searching for the Warden, i.e. he somehow vanished.

As for my apostate Champion, he opposed Meredith's Right of Annulment, so I think Merrill and him have sufficient reason to keep hidden from the Seekers and the templars, while being a leader of the mage rebellion (as Anders mentions repeatedly to my illegal mage Hawke, including at the Gallows, where he said my protagonist was the leader their people had waited centuries for).

Leliana banged the Warden, so obviously she's searching for the Warden because of their scheduled banging in Denerim.

2.) something being obvious is not a fact, its an opinion
3.) There's no evidence of hawke going into the eluvian and the warden going through is the players choice, if they choose not to, there's no evidence suggesting that they decided to go through after all.
Something you made up out of imagination is not obvious nor a conclusion, its a guess based off of your own fantasy

Currently, they're embroiled in a discussion over the likelihood of convincing their respective girlfriends to make out.

Hawke OTOH is most likely on the run from Templars with her lover and her sister -- both apostate mages.
That's just for me, though, no need to get all excited.

Also, even if it was, Alistair mentioning the Warden en-route to Denerim proves that the Warden came back from the other side of the mirror ( if he ever left at all ).
I get why Hawke is missing. He stirred massive sh*t. But the Warden is a hero and it doesn't sound like him to vanish.
My money is on them either being captured by Flemeth or hunting for her.

Or they could have nothing to do with each other and Leliana was just engaging in baseless speculation. In which case we have no clue at all.

I'd say she's a greater threat than an arch demon.

Even If the events of Witch hunt were canon, (which I hope they are, I would really like Morrigan to remember that my warden stabbed her). It still wouldn't explain Warden's disappearnce, If he went to a mystical land with his lover and quite possibly the mother of his child, And if she's back from the said mystical land, wouldn't it make sense for him to be back too.Pateu wrote...

She might as well be stronger than an Arch demon.Pateu wrote...
She can shapeshift into a high dragon, fake her death and teleport across the world.
I'd say she's a greater threat than an arch demon.
But she hasn't done anything to prove that she is a threat to anyone , at least not yet

Oh come now Sentinel, just because you are too blind to see the evidence doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Even counting for player choice we already have 2 confirmed cases where the Warden has passed to the other side and we know Hawke has the means to do so as well.Sentinel358 wrote...

But one would think that the fact that they aren't in Thedas is evidence enough, I mean where else would they be? The Moon?

I wouldn't put it past Morrigan to stab him in the heart and drink his blood if it meant saving herself or furthering her goals.
A romance with Morrigan never came off as genuine to me.
