I'm planning on getting $50 worth of microsoft money to get some of the DLCs for the Mass Effect series. So I was wondering what DLCs out of all 3 of the Mass Effect games are worth getting? I was thinking "The Shadow Broker" for Mass Effect 2, and "The Citadel", "Leviathen", and "From Ashes" for Mass Effect 3. So what do you guys think I should get? If I don't have to spend all $50 to get the best DLCs for all 3 games then I'm okay with that. Thank you in advance.

Sincerly,
Prizrak

I am guessing you have the xbox360 versions? Didnt the ME1 came with Bring down the Sky dlc?
Anyway, for ME2, the Shadow Broker DLC is a must. Arrival could be also taken just for story consistency. ME3 dlc, Citadel, From Ashes and Leviathan are all very good.
I have nearly all DLC apart from the Alternate appearance packs for ME2.

Bring Down the Sky for Mass Effect 1 is great. Ignore Pinnacle Station.

Make sure to get the free Cerberus Network DLC for the second game if you don't already have it.

Lair of the Shadow-Broker is a good piece of content but relies pretty heavily on how much you like the character of Liara. If you aren't a fan then the chances are you're not going to be that keen on it.

Kasumi is well worth getting. The character has a good power-set, you get the best SMG in the game, and the story is decent if short.

Personally I'd say ignore Arrival, it's only real redeeming feature is if you love the combat and think it'd be more fun without your squad. It was meant to be a big lead in to the third game but changes nothing but a couple of lines.

Mass Effect 3. From Ashes is brilliant. A good but short recruitment mission, Javik is an excellent character, and you get a brilliant assault rifle which doesn't require Thermal Clips.

To me the Extended Cut is a must (especially since it is free.) It fills in a lot of the issues people had with the original endings but does kind of hurt the next piece I am going to mention.

Leviathan is an odd one. It's a really fun and decent length mission but the pay-off was really hurt by it coming out after the Extended Cut. This was because it's big end reveal was pretty much spoilt by the added dialogue in the Catalyst conversation. In short if you've not yet finished Mass Effect 3 then Leviathan is a must, if you have finished you can pass over it and not really miss it.

Omega suffers from the same problem as LotSB in ME2. It is highly combat orientated and relies pretty much on how much you like the character of Aria. If you aren't a fan then it is hard to recommend.

The Citadel DLC for me is the pay-off that the endings should have been. The focus is heavily on the characters and their relationships to Shepard. Combat never feels as if it is taking too long and while the story is a little odd, it's all in good fun. Personally I like to head-canon it as post-ending content.
