I almost never use the default, but I tend to only do very minor tweaks to the presets like hair and makeup. I suck at CC and sometimes you just want to jump into the game without spending ten minutes agonizing over the nose.

This whole argument default vs. customized is a non-issue because you can choose either one in the game. There are several defaults to customize off of if you want or just to choose if you want. Who cares what someone else does as long as your able to do what you want?

Yeah, I imagine they are one example from other default faces that we will get in character creation. Wish they would show a female qunari.

I'm one of those people guilty of sometimes spending far more time than is healthy creating my character. However, I don't mind having a default face to choose from. That being said, I would like to be able to customize it some. One of the first mods I got for DA2 was the ability to customize the default Hawke. Sometimes I like the facial structure (default Fem Hawke's was great for my warrior,) but I'd like to change hair/eyes/tats/makeup.

I can't yet speak for Hawke, but default male Shepard definitely looks leagues better overall than anything I've ever seen anyone create with the editor, triply so for fellow console players.

You can actually get default Hawke's hair on xbox if you know how to mod it... it takes a heck of a long time (compared to other DA2 save modding) and involves lots of squinting at the screen and potential headaches + random cursing when you realize you went through the whole process and yet it still didn't work... but I did it anyway. Cause that's how annoyed I was I couldn't have the default hair!

I wouldn't mind default/preset faces, as long as they look decent. I still shudder every time I remember the default femshep in ME3.

You can't provide a feature that becomes a staple of your game library then suddenly abandon it for this cockamamie notion of saving resources. Besides, how do you know that this feature's removal would even make a big difference?

An individual can't represent the majority. no single individual perfectly matches all views of the "majority" because saying the "majority" actually means average. I am pretty sure that most people who play DA actually use the CC not because they get off from it but because it is there and is thrown in your face. people enjoy making what they think is the "perfect person", makes them forget their insecurities of themselves.
