I've been on a ME break for a month, but I'm pulled back in again. Now I'm at work, waiting for five so I can go get some food and drink, turn off the phone and load up Mass Effect. Anyone else in my shoes? DAMN this trilogy!

I just decided to do a trilogy run today for the first time since Mass Effect 3 came out. I'm really looking forward to it as I've missed those characters and that universe a lot. I've never seen the EC so I hope it gives me a better ending than the original one.

I'm just finishing up my everry 2-year playthrough. I usually play through the games when I know there's a new game coming soon.
It felt a bit odd this time around though..

I am halfway through a trilogy run myself. I forgotten how wooden some of the dialogue in ME1 sounds but I still enjoyed it. I have a problem with the ME3. I want to enjoy it very much and I know that I will up to the point. Well I really want to play the next ME. Or any game similar to ME. Shame only bioware really makes such games.

Tell me about it. I bought Mars: War Logs on sale on steam on the word that it was ME'ish. Sure it is. What a steaming pile of dreck, I have Alpha Protocol, I hear that's decent.

Apparently its quite ****e also, loads of bugs, second rate story and all kinds of other more minor but still annoying things. The worst part that Mars:War Logs is promising. Sure the combat is awkward, the voice acting is no better but there were quite a few interesting ideas in there. However that was all it had.

I can sympathize.
I'm about to start ME3 again. I know I should move on to other stuff, but I'm just not as interested in other games. The ME games are fun to play, and they have great characters. Can't say the same for a lot of other games that are out there. They just don't have that same combination of elements.
The way decisions can carry over from one game to the next is very innovative, too. At times they didn't make the most of it, but often they did. Even if the only mention of something from another game was in a news article or an e-mail, it was still really cool. I hope this is a concept that other franchises pick up on.
The way I figure it, my free time is my own, and rather limited, so I should just play what I enjoy instead of worrying about sticking with one franchise too much.

Mars: War Logs is about half the game ME1 was. Or rather, it would have been, if it came out around 2008 too. As it is, it's a nice little game to mess around with for a few bucks (I wouldn't pay more than that).
Playing ME1 now (Hardcore, new game, Vanguard) to start to set up my new main Shepard for PC (was more on 360 before). Will then do a NG+ on Insanity and try to reach Lv 60, then move onto ME2

Man, I haven't played since around the time the Citadel DLC released...
It was nonstop for what was at least three years, and I haven't touched the trilogy in forever...man just being on this forum is giving me goosebumps
I'm trying to wait until the summer due to uni, then I plan on triumphantly returning to my beloved...
But I'm playing on pc now, which I didnt originally. Re-purchasing all of the dlc is gonna be kinda a drag

I love the games, the characters, the universe, the style. Even bioware screwing up the ending was not able to get me to hate the game. By the way does anyone has some spare codes for Alternate Appearance packs 1&2 for ME2 on pc? I tried to buy them but for some reason EA does not accept my cards.
