Now I remembered:

Ender's Game.

A slap into the face of the excellent novel and if you'd look at it as a standalone movie, it's barely coherent with unbelievable characters.

It just plain sucks.

Considering how much of an insufferable **** Orson Scott Card is....
He deserves having his book neutered like it was.

I don't know what he did to earn that opinion (I really only know his name and what he wrote as introduction about himself), but it doesn't change the fact that his book is great and the movie is downright crap.

It's more likely than surviving a fall from a plane in a Life raft tbh.
In fact that entire sequence from Temple of Doom is dumber than nuking the fridge.

Mythbusters showed that was plausible, maybe someday they'll do the fridge.

Chernaya Molniya, ahah, russian Spider-Man with pimped up old communist car as super powers.

I've seen all Uwe Boll flicks up to Postal and many Syfy epics, even that movie caught me off guard.

So he's a discriminating ****. Okay,  I can understand your opinion if that is so. Doesn't mean there's a reason to badmouth this particular work, as I do not remember any homophobic content in the books I read so far.

I've come to judge such stuff on a case-basis. Because really if you would get down to it, there isn't anything completely free of such "qualities" and we'd be badmouthing the entirity of Hollywood for having been a homophobic, racist and discriminating entity for the longest time since its beginning.

Nah Enders Game is a really good book. One of the best I've read.
But it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth for various raisins, a factor I wish I could ignore tbh.

I can relate.

I just came to realize that morals. ethics and other judgemental basis are subjective, so what's deplorable for one person is all right for another one. And since I personally don't want to be remembered and judged by people for a couple acts they might not approve of, I switched my judgements on a strictly case-basis. That way I don't fall to the hubris of being similarly unconditionally shamed by someone who I may have had slighted in the past. Or if they do, I can call out on their hypocrisy when I feel like being a dick

Did you mean Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive (2011)? I actually really liked that movie. But that does remind me, Only God Forgives (by the same director) probably does belong on this thread.

Maybe Battle Royal 2.I actually can't remember the movie but I remember there were some Al Qaeda stuff going on and I think it was supposed to be profound or something ...I was with a friend and by the end we were looking at each others with a big "WTF" on our face.

And the Avenger movie.I just don't watch movies anymore but everyone was praising it and Joss Whedon , Robert Downey Jr were in it.
I used to really like the Batmans movies by Tim Burton.
So I thought I was probably missing something.
I've watched it, and errr...it was so bad I think I skip some part of it.It's just shiny with some explosion and special effect. The plot was bad , the characters were paper thin.

I still don't understand the hype.

Helps if you watched the movies that preceded it.

Now as much as I love Avengers, I can agree it's not the best thing Joss Whedon has made, but Serenity is a tough act to follow.
But in terms of making a film many thought impossible and pulling it off as well as he did.
It gets extra points.

Reezy, that anime is one of the best of its kind out there. Even naming it in a topic dedicated to bad movies is sacrilegous already!

Lies. Worst movie I ever saw. Tell you what

Nah but it is pretty based and ignores all the characteristics of this thread. I need to get Clones up on the dope anime. Regardless of what thread it's in.

People ignore the point of what they quoted just so they can make themselves feel better by hating on someone, what a surprise.

You know what that makes you, right?

It's really not hard to grasp why people would not like his work if he is homophobic, you're acting surprised that someone can even think that.

Lolwat?

Hadn't I already conceded that I understand Clones if he doesn't like the guy for being a homophobe idiot? And wasn't my little excourse in judgement ethics the perfect antithesis for your assumptions I would be surprised someone would dislike anything?

If you want to argue with me, at least read what I wrote beforehand. Otherwise all you look like is someone who took a chance to be hateful towards someone else. Whether you or someone else thinks they deserve it is irrelevant. You took the opportunity to degrade someone else for what they believe. Just as they might degrade you for not believing the same way they do.
