That, although destroying the nation as a military threat doesn't necessarily mean killing everyone.
So if Orlais was military destroyed in TME, you'd have thought that the book is good/excellent?
That, although destroying the nation as a military threat doesn't necessarily mean killing everyone.
I know that, though I base my opinion on a book on the writing, and not if it ends/follow a particular path. And the writing, from what I read, seems very good.
For example, I don't particulary like the fact that mages and templars are entangled in a war that could seriously weaken southern Thedas, but I still like Asunder. Or the fact that I don't like much Adrian and Lambert's actions/stance, but i think they're well-written characters.
My issues with the ending are related to certain social issues within our own world and certain issues of demographic portrayal.

Quite so.
Quite so.
I think its about time Nevarra took the seat from Orlais! They've been certainly growing quite strong over the years and if the Pantaghast family solves their issue Nevarra is probably the strongest nation Thedas has right now.

Nevarra isn't still as strong as Orlais prior of the OCW. They might get advantages with the OCW...if not for the fact that they're on the verge of a civil war too.
Well we have heard Nevarra is "rivaling" Orlais though we don't know to what extent.
I interpreted rivaling meaning that it's strong enough to face Orlais. That doesn't mean that it's as powerful.Well we have heard Nevarra is "rivaling" Orlais though we don't know to what extent.
That song actually fits pretty well with the themes of the novel.
Jeff, did you already thought about what will be your race and class in Inquisition?
Ha! Same, same. I'll play human too. I'm boring and predictable like that. I'll likely be an mage. I was an warrior in Origins as you know, and then I played as an rogue Hawke (I just wish the rogue champion armor looked a little cooler) and I'm silently crossing my fingers that Bethany is an optional LI for the Inquisitor. And since I already rolled with an rogue and a warrior, I might as well finish the trilogy with an mage.
But I'm pretty sure rogue Inquisitor will be cool. Look at that Ezio esque armor he is wearing in that fanart at the cliff, you know, the one in the right corner of the forum. It looks pretty kick ass.
To be honest only human warrior is boring. Its just too common, when people play on Twich on early days of the game I tend to vomit at sight of human warriors. Rogue and Mage are fine.

It'd be the main reason why I'd make every rogue archers in DAI.
Rogues die waaaaaaaaay too fast on nightmare. Warriors are kinda stick in the mud because their single target damage is lesser than rouges and their AoE and single target is lesser than mages. The ability to tank however makes up for it and its their real usefulness. Mages just deal much better dps both to single targets and AoE. But they need warriors to protect them ![]()

Berseker Reaver on Nightmare is a beast, though it needs the support of Anders and Merrill to function well. Though I was mostly talking about the rogue animations, not their effectiveness in combat.
Mages might get the nerf on DA:I or maybe not. They were key players in both games. Berseker Reaver was quite nice but needed a lot of time to develop. Maker, Templar spec was useless...
And you're right epsecially the male rogue had retarded animations.
Jeff you should just play a mage in Inquisition. I think DA:I is the time to be a mage. Race doesn't matter though.
I have close friends on Twitch and I only watch them play. They are all human warriors.
I dunno, I'm pretty dedicated to swords usually since I do sword stuff IRL. Only reason I want to run a mage file on DA2 is because of the story... but then... I just realized that you're probably saying the same thing re: Inquisition, huh? Yeah, fair point. Gotta go swords first though, it's practically in my blood!
Yeah definitely try mages out, I was not saying only play mage of course but do try them out. You also get to know Carver ![]()
Also a sword can never be this cool! My buddy Anders taught me to merge with a spirit too and since Hawke has much more willpower he never lost control. And this beats any sword or warrior in matters of being cool? Am I right? ![]()
Do you honestly think anyone approaching this Garrett with a sword had a chance?

If the warrior is a Spirit Warrior/Templar? Yes he would
.
Regardless, so far the games didn't allow us to merge with spirits. Modding the game, as much as it can be good gameplay-wise, doesn't let the story recognize that you merged.
And you'll probably have some problems about this if the merge won't be present in the vanilla game in DAI, since modding might be difficult.
I don't know about spirit warriors but if the the spirit merging we have seen so far is any judge, Templars don't have any chance versus them either. ![]()
I really hope we either get some sort of spirit merging in DA:I or at least it can be modded...
We haven't seen any spirit of hope yet and they are the strongest entities of the fade. I think its about time we met one ![]()
