 Just started playing mass effect 3 on pc could use some people to play with me and help me get around

indeed. If you want to max your manifest quickly you should use this technique to be initially carried in platinum. Those credits should enable you to get some decent characters/weapons early on instead of being forced down the slower bronze/silver games route. Hopefully by the time you are "found out" you won't need to be carried anymore and therefore it won't matter about being shunned.

 

If you are going to follow this bad advice, make sure you are carried by male gamers with big egos as they are less likely to get fed up carrying you all the time. To help yourself along, be a timid but giggly fake female gamer. Under no circumstances be like a real female gamer i.e. sassy and intelligent. That will be intimidating for the male gamers with big egos and they will start kicking you out of lobbies once they realize you going to surpass them in player skill.

 

Alternatively you could just be yourself and play for fun with some new friends.
