Devil may Cry 4: Saved the world, got the girl.

Star wars Republic Commando: I know it was nothing special, but damn, Sev's death (even though they didn't show it) got me right in the feel. Loved that guy.

Bioshock Infinite: Absolutely perfect, although having to spend the next half an hour picking up the pieces of my blown mind was irksome.

Dead space 3: Realised I was more attached to Issac than I thought.

The walking Dead: Needs no explanation.

Transformers: Fall of cybertron: Last level was just pure awesomeness.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Raiden and his family are reunited, Big Boss peacefully dies with his son Snake by his side and even the story of Major Zero comes to a close

Mass Effect 1: Just generally well done.

Mass Effect 2: The suicide mission just finished off a generally well made game.

Dragon Age Origins: Well summed up and satisfying ending.

Halo 3: Because Halo 3

KotOR: Loved the story as a whole and the ending finished well.

Well,.. I dunno. I'm not sure games have particularly good endings. Sure there are some noteworthy, because of some detail or twist, like the Portals (great games btw).

I'll say this though: I think DA:O had a very well managed ending. I was particularly impressed, because Bioware has a history of messing up endings. But that doesn't make the ending (any ending) in itself "good". I can imagine good endings, but the game didn't show them.

So I dunno,..  In the end, I'll settle for the game that made the ending the start of the game, with police sirens approaching and the narrator voice that says: "I killed them all", or something like that. Not because it's good in itself, but because it ties the game together from the start. In a closed loop. You'll soon learn the story, in the beginning. And what lies ahead, a satisfying revenge fantasy with 642 spectacular, close quarter kills in slow-motion.

Regarding KotOR, even though it has the fantastic late middle section (I won't elaborate for spoilers) and is one of my favourite games ever, I feel the ending is pretty generic - good but nothing special.
