Hear me out mods before you close this for being off-topic.
Did anyone catch tonights episode? they ran music in the background of part of a film, music from "an end once and for all" from the EC soundtrack. Gonna assume they have permission from Bioware to use their music.

I noticed that. A certain character is no relegated to the second most annoying thing associated with ME3 - behind Jeremy Clarkson.

It's not the first time they've used ME music.

Yeah I heard it too, they also use a lot of other music from many other movies. They like to use music from Tron legacy. Considering its a BBC program I would think they have a lot of licensed music from all kinds of things.

Yeah I heard it too. Gave me instantly the chills.
Two of my favorite things combined (Top Gear and the Mass Effect series) = instant win.

I think they actually used two songs. They used a snippet of one (not sure which song it is) in the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 film aswell (just when he finished driving down that rather steep sand dune).

I was excited to discover a few years back that the Top Gear exhibition at Beaulieu, England features a rocket taking off to the music ''A Normandy Reborn''!

Top Gear regularly use music from other media in their featurettes. I've heard everything from the Dark Knight to War of the Worlds.

The previous episode sported some tunes from Halo.

But the Disco Volante feature truly had me sold with ME3 and Road to Perdition scores.

I was hoping this was going to be about a Mako or something similar appearing on Top Gear. But yeah, I heard it. It beats Two Steps From Hell, which is just overused to the point of annoying

It's not Mass Effect music, it's Two Steps From Hell music, technically Mass Effect used TSFH music.

''Leaving Earth'' (the track that was used in the episode) was composed by Clint Mansell for Mass Effect 3's soundtrack. Two Steps from Hell tracks were used for the launch trailers of Mass Effect 2 and 3 and were never used in the game itself.

Saw the episode on BBC America and the music was changed, ME 3 music was swapped out. What's up with that?

Probably for licensing reasons. When Top Gear is repeated on the TV channel 'Dave' the music is very different from how that episode first aired on BBC 2.For example the A-Team theme is used in some episodes, yet watch the repeat on 'Dave' and its completely different music being used at that moment. On a related note, i liked hearing music from 'Drive' OST on Top Gear  last week.

ME music is everywhere if you know how to listen for it. Some of the trailers for the AMC show Game of Arms have music from the ME3 Retaliation multiplayer trailer. And to my knowledge that music was created specifically for that trailer. And sadly (and I hate that I know this) that music was also used during a promo for an episode of real world explosion.

Two Steps from Hell is never annoying :P Overused yes but they deserve it IMO.

Although I much prefer Thomas Bergersen's solo work. His album 'Illusions' is better than any TSFH album.
