Qunari because...well...in what other game can I play a Qunari?
An any rate, I will mostly likely have multiple playthroughs, and play through each race at least once.

At any rate*....Can we not modify our posts anymore, or am I missing something?
The Tal-Vashoth will be my default, I haven't decided if he/she will be a warrior or a mage though

What do you mean by modify them?

To edit them.

I think he means edit, it's been a bit wonky for me too

To edit them.
If you look under your posts as if you were going to quote it, you'll see edit as one of the 4 options on the right hand side.
Ah, I see it now. Thanks.
Playthroughs, tentative since I still have DAO and DA2 to finish haha
1. Male Qunari Mage or Rogue
2. Male Human Mage or Elven Rogue depending on what I don't pick for #1
3. Female Elf, Human, or Qunari, and whatever main class is remaining (Warrior, or maybe Mage or Rogue)
4. Commander Shepard
5. I don't typically play Dwarves in anything unless its to totally mess around like a lunatic. I guess I'd do it for a 'crazy playthrough' as a female Dwarf Warrior or Rogue.
6. Mess around with whatever combos are left.
Obviously a human rogue/warrior.
Although I really appreciate the fact that you are able to choose a different race such as an elf, dwarf or even qunari, I feels it makes no sense for the inquisitor to be anything but a human really. Also I always stick to the human race for my first couple of playthroughs and only start exploring the other storylines after playing through everything the human storyline has to offer.
I know it seems that way but I have a feeling that the whole point of this storyline is to get Thedas united AND under a certain more unified state (not just briefly uniting in opposition to the Darkspawn), so that they'll be prepared to face even larger threats in a future game. This will depend on the worldstate we set up here (which itself is at least somewhat influenced by the worldstate set up in DA:O+DA2).
Could be wrong as its just a feeling.

I don't know I feel like we're just playing pawns in someone's chess game, and someone keeps stealing those chess pieces to remove opposition to whatever goal they have.

No that's what I mean..
We'd be facing the manipulations at last. Just for this game (or at least most of it), we put everything together in prep for that. Even if we're uniting Thedas under someone elses' guile, that doesn't mean we'll be useless about it.

Ok sorry , I didn't understand you well the first time, my mistake. I guess we'll see if this particular chess game ends this game or if we're just setting up more events for the next game lol.

No problem. ![]()

I feel it's just making some of the final moves.
But I dunno. Anywayyy
When they were first announced I thought Qunari, but the more time's gone on I'm unsure. I think the aesthetic of the races will play a big part for me, followed by the voice actor, neither of which we have much info on. It's a wait and see policy as of now.
YES. Voice actor is going to be a huge deciding factor for me.
I wonder. Am I the only one who likes human rogues for a first run? For some strange reason, most people seem to associate rogues with elves.
If the racial bonuses are similar to DA:O, then I'd expect the Qunari to have +2 Strength and +2 Willpower.
Definitely Qunari. I mainly want to start out with that race because I feel the experience will be so different that the other races.
