I'm on my 3rd walkthrough right now trying to finish up with my 60 soldier, and I forgot...  But, is it possible to say all the right things to both Liara and Ashley, have them comfront you towards the end of the game, AND still choose a love interest then?

I'm trying to put off chosing which one I want to romance untill later on.  I know you cannot have both of them.  I just want to know if I can screw it up because I havent choosen 1 of them as the clear, singular interest right now...

Well as far as I remember you get 3 choices. Choose either one, or choose both. Either one is simpel, if you choose both you mess it up with one of them, the other can be saved I believe.

Not sure what you mean but depending on when you talk to each etc etc. you can put off choosing between the two until Ilos I think...Or at least Virmire. I cant "completely" validate that because my Renegade Shep left Ash on Virmire because that what he would have done, put the mission first even before his own feelings. Because at the end, after that, Liara was the one that tried to "comfort" me when we were grounded at the citidel...I told her to get stuffed though basically because Im not a big fan of Liara lol.

If you get both of them all set, they will confront you right after the last missionbriefing before you return to the citadel to speak to the council

Can you still save 1 of the romances at that point?  Or do they then both give you the Heisman?

You get to pick either one of them.
If you pick the 'can't I have you both', you ruin your chances with one of them.

If you say the exact right things to both of your possible LIs then you'll get the chance to decide (before Virmire I think). They confront you and demand that you choose. If you want Liara, the "can't I have both of you" is the best option because you get an awesome comment from Ashley for it :-)

Yea, definately cant have "both"...you have to choose between one or the other in some fashion. Even in my instance, I reloaded just out of curiosity and saved Ash...And she was the one who "comforted" Shep at the citidel instead of Liara. To which, with my curiosity sated, I reloaded one more time and left Ash behind (as per what my Shep would have done to save the mission) and carried on as normal. (Giving Liara the finger at the end more or less and not getting any pre-Illos nookie lol.)
