Mike Laidlaw already said they are on track for a Fall 2014 release, no need to worry. Besides, I was just die waiting for DA:I another year.
Not to sound pessimistic, but Mike and other Bioware devs said the same thing last year. Even in the case they know the game is delayed, they wouldn't announce the delay casually on twitter.

I certainly hope not. It's already been delayed a year :/

A delay is still possible, despite Laidlaw's comment. Let's hope it's not, since they will likely have to CUT things from the game if it is delayed.

Evidence pointing to late 2014:
- Dragon Age Keep in Beta testing https://dragonagekeep.com
"The first beta will begin early in 2014"
Why make a big deal of it if the game is running late?
- New BioWare Forum
(shiny)
"However, this reveal is part of the roadmap"
Why reveal the next part of the roadmap if the roadmap is behind schedule?
That there is no actual release date yet allows fine-tuning.
And frankly, if it slipped to Spring 2015 that would be fine too,
but that's not how BioWare appears to be behaving.
It should release when it's ready and I will be happy with that whenever it is.

Anything could happen, yeah, but it doesn't seem to be the case. There's still 7 months till release, minimum, I wouldn't get anxious about it getting delayed.

Considering the game was ready in November, I doubt it. The extra year is really just here to add things like races to the game, which shouldn't take that much time either.
Yeah, that's not how these things work...

DA:I was already delayed. If they delay it again, they have to announce the delay early.
Watch Dogs got reeeeal close to release, and then that was delayed, and interest severely dropped. I don't think Bioware and EA want that to happen.
But for now, I think they're on track for a 2014 release.

Depends how much Day 1 DLC they want to add.
Though I don't see any big reason for concern. If it was delayed though I would see it as only to Spring 15, not a whole year.

Personally, would like it when it's done, not before, hopefully that will be this year, but if for some reason they need more time, I'll cope.

I see nothing to suggest that it'll be pushed back until next year and even if it is that just means that the final product will have more work put into it to be better.

I don't think that EA will give them another year so they should better finish the game and make it as bugs free as possible this year.

From what they showed of DAI last year, I don't believe they need another year for this game.

They better not or they are going to get my brand new xbox one that I bought for this game thrown through one of their windows with a threatening note tied to it. ![]()

Agree with this. There's no reason for me to buy a product that's simply not finished. If Bioware needs more time to finish off the game in the way they would like to see it finished off, then by all means do so. I'd rather wait for a little while longer than buy a game of which even the producers feel it's not entirely the way the would've pictured it.

I'm on board with this as well. Let them deliver a polished and hopefully bug-free title that lives up to marketing hype.

It's already been delayed due to integration into Frostbite 3 and other factors (next-gen support, etc.), nothing recent has given any indication that further delays are coming. The fact that Dragon Age Keep is well into the beta testing phase and new features like the overhauled BSN are being rolled out are pretty good signs that development is on track for the intended late 2014 release, in my inexpert estimation.

I don't expect another delay. Whether the game needs it or not, EA is not an bottomless pit of money and patience. The game will very likely launch during the highly competitive holiday season in an effort to drive sales. Truthfully, I don't expect the game will need another delay. My hope is that the game is on schedule and getting the resources and polish it needs to be great.

unlikely. they said that the main story line can be playable now.

Aye, worst case scenario it gets pushed back to the first-quarter of 2015 to avoid competing over sales with The Witcher 3.

From what I understand, DAI has been on Bioware's mind since DA2 released in March 2011. Doing the math, and assuming a November/December 2014 release date for DAI, that would give the folks at Bioware a 3.5-year development cycle for DAI.
I'd think that's a decent amount of time to have in order to build a good game. Well, unless you're Bethesda, of course. Then you need a 5- to 7-year development cycle in order to get a game like Skyrim up to snuff.

I dunno where David said it but he made it pretty clear that it was only playable by dev standards. Granted I have no idea how much work it still needs from that stage but yeah. It certainly isn't playable by any gamer's standards.
Anyway if it is delayed again whoever is wearing the Boss Hat seriously needs to rain in the team's ambition so that it matches their ability.
