Not necessarily protagonist but major supporting roles or actually, even protagonist in some cases. Thoughts?

I started to play Mass Effect because Hale voiced it.

This is not an answer to the question Fallen One.

Then yes.

And I much prefer this new appellation.

I'm not sure - Hale's voice is so Shepard and Shepard's gone. I take confidence they cast a set of very capable VAs again.

Better to reign in The Other Place than serve in Heaven, eh?

Both are Shepard and both have their strengths. I am reasonably confident...about the next MP...not the SP.

Even you do not understand the full extent of my powers, Lord Stardusk. My return is only a matter of time.

5 months. 5 months from now I will show you a sign of my return, should you survive till that point in time.

It's good to see you here! Try Sudoku. I recently met someone who beats my speed records. Meanwhile, I should go back to plotting my revenge.

Mark Meer is the best Shepard imo.

I think there's a good chance he'll come back to voice Hanar, Vorcha and some Volus.

I'd prefer not.

I find it pretty confusing to be talking to some Elf in Dragon Age, realizing mid conversation I'm talking to Ashley (hello, immersion breaker). I can only imagine I'll find it downright annoying to have my Shepard's voice suddenly attached to some random character.

They deserve it. I have enjoyed  their voice-acting very much. Maybe the will come back as cmdr Shepard in a scene from the past.

I would prefer that a new game (in series or not) have nothing at all to remind me of ME3 in any way, shape, or form.

At maximum, the ME series Voice Actors should possibly get a single cameo appearance.

Any more than that, and I get visions of train wrecks.

You guys forgetting that Meer voiced Hanar and VORCHA?

Meer - Is a more ranged VA from what I've seen, though more monotone as Shepard (not necessarily a bad thing in ME2-3, but bleh in ME1). He's totally welcome by me. In fact, I'd be surprised if he's not in the game.
But major protagonist? Erm, well, if there's no Shepard or Shepard-related protag, then no. If there is, somehow, then yes.
Supporting role, maybe.
Random/important tertiary NPCs, sure!

Hale - Is a less ranged VA from what I've seen, though was more expressive and distinct as Shepard ("FemShep" is often its own thing, compared to more various MaleSheps).
She's welcome by me, but not as much. And I'm also less confident about her playing anything other than tertiary NPCs.
She can play secondary characters as long as her voice is only recognized as "Jennifer" and not "Shepard'. I know Meer can do this, but I dunno about Hale yet.

Have you been living under a rock for the last, say decade? Femshep is not Hale's first role (or are you saying that Hale got to voice a AAA protagonist because she botched every single job she's ever been offered?)

No, not major roles, you just can't. Meer has a range to do alot of stuff so i could see him being in future games but not as a major part. He will be the new hero of ME4, Grizzat, the Vorcha commander.

like some others have said here, hearing your shepards voice (recognizably of course) completely breaks immersion. I would support both because I love them both but I would not want to hear them in a mass effect game where you go "wtf, that's..."

Jennifer Hale, absolutely. But who is Meer?

He's Male Shepard's VA.

I'd prefer if they didn't to be honest. Hearing Mark Meer voice other roles was really immersion breaking.

Mark Meer also did the vocie's for Hanar, Vorcha and Volus (including the Biotic god).

I'd like to see them evolved in the future ME games.

I only every play as a female, so can only speak for Hale, but I think she is an amazing VA. So amazing though, that her voice *is* my Sheps. It would be immersion breaking for me to hear her again in a major role, especially as a protagonist.
I even twitch a little when I hear my Hawke in ME3 :P

Pfft, Hale is Bastila for me. You can easily tell new and old fans judging on this.
