It would be cool if they did, I would like to see them playing very different characters ~ to bring out a new sound to the game

I started to play Mass Effect because Hale voiced it.
Just out of curiosity, do you think that is actually common? ie: Do you think a majority of people did that? Some?
The reason I ask is because, TBH with you, I don't think anyone I've ever spoken to Mass Effect even knows her by name.
I think it's more of a niche "fan thing" than anything widespread or marketable in a future game.

If they want...

That said I'm going to miss Hale's Shepard voice. Part of Shepards charm, for me, was that deep feminine voice that softened when appropriate and hardened as needed.

Hale was famous before Shepard. She became legend after. Most gamers recognize her voice even if they don't know her name. She also voices tv characters.....

I would love to see Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer coming back as VAs to a major role in future ME games...
...
...that role being the one of Commander Shepard.

New VA for new PC, who's not connected to Shepard's Cult of Personality.
Have Hale and Meer voice NPCs.

Yes.
Meer in particular can do a lot of different voices and is almost unrecognizable. I bet a lot of people didn't realize that he also voiced some Vorcha and Volus characters in the Shepard trilogy.
I'd like to see them brought back. I'd have them voice Turians though, or some other race that uses the voice filter. It won't make it immediately apparent that the character is being voiced by 'Commander Shepard.'

They've both done additional voices on the series already. You can't have Vorcha without Meers.

I'd be a little weird hearing Hale's voice again after having her so heavily associated with Shepard in my head, but she's one of my favourite VAs so I wouldn't mind too much.
I think I could only take Meer in minor roles. He's a talented voice actor, but I never wanna hear him do the monotone he did for Shepard ever again.
I think it'd be better anyway to try and find different people for the next trilogy. ME 1-3 comes with a lot of baggage (especially with Shepard), so moving away from it would be wiser.

I'd totally disagree. I think 'most gamers' don't recognise her voice at all. I think it's certain percentage of gamers, who really get into 'who does the voices' that certainly recognise her voice; the same as you have people who can spot the voices in an anime dub after watching a few minutes of one. But it's not the majority of gamers, in my experience. Most just hear a voice and it goes in one ear and out the other.

I would like to see them do something in the NME game. Not as a major character, but maybe as minor characters or Easter Eggs.

You guys forgetting that Meer voiced Hanar and VORCHA?
Meer - Is a more ranged VA from what I've seen, though more monotone as Shepard (not necessarily a bad thing in ME2-3, but bleh in ME1). He's totally welcome by me. In fact, I'd be surprised if he's not in the game.
But major protagonist? Erm, well, if there's no Shepard or Shepard-related protag, then no. If there is, somehow, then yes.
Supporting role, maybe.
Random/important tertiary NPCs, sure!
Hale - Is a less ranged VA from what I've seen, though was more expressive and distinct as Shepard ("FemShep" is often its own thing, compared to more various MaleSheps).
She's welcome by me, but not as much. And I'm also less confident about her playing anything other than tertiary NPCs.
She can play secondary characters as long as her voice is only recognized as "Jennifer" and not "Shepard'. I know Meer can do this, but I dunno about Hale yet.
I am pretty sure she can sound different then Shepard if she wanted, after I all don't hear Shepard too much in Leah in Diablo 3 or Rosalind Lutece in BioShock: Infinite. BioWare has a very large group of voice actors over the years and most of the ones that have worked with them in one game, will work with them for multiple games. If you look her up on IMDB you will see a large body of work where she doesn't always sound the same.

I've heard Hale many times before. Her voice is more distinct and I can almost always detect it, unlike Meer's.
I can have Hale as secondary NPCs, but I'd be wary about her playing (another, after KOTOR) companion, and especially a PC that's not Shepard or related to her.

meer might come back because he voices some of the races but hale i don't see her in mass effect but a new bioware game maybe

I'd prefer not.
I find it pretty confusing to be talking to some Elf in Dragon Age, realizing mid conversation I'm talking to Ashley (hello, immersion breaker). I can only imagine I'll find it downright annoying to have my Shepard's voice suddenly attached to some random character.
Did you have the same effect with Kaiden? After all he was Carth from KoTOR.
Also I would love to have them return. Been a fan of Jennifer Hale since KoTOR.

If I remember correctly, Mr. Meer did voicing for the Vorcha, so I don't see why not. Yep.(NSFW)
I don't mind them coming back, but preferably not with the voices they're known for from the series. Both Hale and Meer are capable of more than what popularized them with the series, after all. Mass Effect devs seemed pretty intent on not including Shepard in any way for the new Mass Effect, so taking a direction with the original Voices doesn't have a strong chance of happening.

At leat for the main characters, I say its time for new VAs.

There is something little sad in how extremely, completely, undeniably important " Lead VA in new Bioware game" is. It results a game where Jennifer Hale and the lead writers tell their story of Shepard to audience. In same way uh James Cameron and Arnold tell their story of Terminator to audience.
More abstract video game dialogue (No VA on PC) leaves player with an illusion it is his story. More room to feel your own feelings, man.
Just random thought!

I'd like to have Hale and Meer return, but only in minor roles where they would not be identified as "Shepard." Or if there were a recording of Shepard's voice, for whatever reason. But I don't think they should have major roles in the Mass Effect series for at least another game or two. Could they be leads in the series again? Yes. But we'll have to have Shepard out of our minds a bit first. So not this time.
I'd love to see Hale be lead voice in some new project by Bioware, too. I confess I didn't care for Meer's Commander Shepard. I tried to play a male playthrough and I felt his voice was just too flat.
And why stop at the lead actors? I'm sure we'd all like to hear some of the other actors again too.
