In Mass Effect 1 there is a planet in the Dis System of the Hades Gamma Cluster. The description talks about a living space ship, I am thinking possibly a Collectors Ship, it would kind of make sence. The reason I say that is because I have a feeling that Collector ships would be some what organic. A Batarian research team found the ship and called it the Leviathan. The Batarians then denied all knowing of the ship even when Salarian researchers showed them recordings of the ship.
Also before you say it is a Reaper ship, it is unlikely due to the fact that the Reapers are 'robots' in a sence where as this was an organic ship.
Any ideas?

It's a Wraith ship from Stargate Atlantis. No other explanation possible.

...Really though, I hope we get to see/hear more about this in ME2.

It's certainly an interesting theory! I never noticed that in ME1.

Maybe considering the Collector tech we have seen so far has a very organic look.

This sounds interesting, I think it would make sense. It wold be cool to have hints like this from ME1 carry over and become reality. I keep wondering about the Sphere deal, ifthat will comeback.

I know, haha. I was going to say that in the first post. But decided against it. Dont want to get people crazy when talking about other Sci-Fi stuff. :P

That... would be scary. As I recall they dated the remains of the Leviathan to over a billion years old. I don't know what the end result of a billion years of genetic uplift would look like, but I'm pretty sure it could kick Shepards ass.

FWIW though I doubt the Batarians are going to get much out of the carcass. Dis was a hot enviroment. There's going to be nothing worth speaking of left of most organic molecules left after a billion years in the heat. Probably just skeletal structures and the like.

Probably it was just a throwaway reference to Moya from Farscape. ;)

i'm thinking a race able to create/grow organic starships might have thought of that.

It also says it was a billion years old.  It is more likely that it was a ship of the "beings of light" that were created to stop the "machine devils" that is also mentioned on one of those planet descriptions.

You have a point. But so little is known about the Collectors, maybe the Reapers let them live, especially as it seems the Collectors are working for/with the Reapers.

Notes for people in this thread:

- Organic and Living are not synonyms.

- Organic means "based on carbon".

- Not all life is organic.

- "Living ship" does not equal super advanced tech. Advance in one area of technology does not imply advances in unrelated areas.

I am pretty sure it's harmless the Batarians found it, and it did not harm nor attack their salvaging teams, however this is merely speculation on my part lol.

It would be nice if some of these mysteries from Mass Effect 1 were solved or explained in Mass Effect 2.

Farscape, anyone? I think the Leviathan of Dis is more a reference to a relatively well known sci-fi show than anything else.

Yeah... my idea too. Farscape.

If you look at the collectors then some look an awful lot like the Pilot on the Leviathan in Farscape.

Bioware must be a fan of the show. Let's not forget Claudia Black in Dragon Age and a comment from one of the devs conserning Ben Browder (Some Dev said that it would be a great idea to have him in ME3 or something)

Fanboys ;)
