I'm not keen on white flashy websites (I have a youtube darkness app) and was wondering if there is a setting to make the website darker in tone?

I too would like a dark theme option. But right now I'm just so in awe of the new shinyness I don't care too much lol...

It would be a nice feature to have, for I normally try to avoid forums that are too bright if I am unable to change the theme.

You can change the active background picture with the "paintbrush" icon in the upper right, just above this thread - that should give you some more options, but I don't know of any specific "all dark" option.

I don't like how bright this forum is. I much prefer darker forums for this reason. Would like an option to switch to a dark theme much like the BSN had.

You can change the active background picture with the "paintbrush" icon in the upper right, just above this thread - that should give you some more options, but I don't know of any specific "all dark" option.

 

It does change the picture, but it leaves the forum color for the bottom and text areas white, for me it won't help for its the white background while reading text that bothers my eyes.

Thank you Brian for you attentiveness, but the background is actually less of a problem than the text areas.  Some of the white-on-light-grey text is also... hard on the eyes.

For anyone who wants to install it, I suggest using the program flux. It helps with making sure your eyes aren't completely burning from all the white. And definitely would like a dark theme for this site.

yes dark option and change teh font used please its hard to read it the way it is.

The team is definitely aware of the request for more varied themes - I can't commit to anything for timelines, or if we'll do it, but it's definitely on the radar as a heavily requested item.
