I am just wondering if the old BSN disappears where can we access DLC for Dragon Age: Origins it since unlike other BioWare DLC I cannot download it through Origin.

Which version of DA:O do you have? The "Ultimate Edition" version does allow you to download the DLC through Origin. The old BSN site still exists too, so you can download from there. As far as I know, they haven't said they plan on removing the site entirely. It's just read-only now.

I guess I misread the post at the top of the old BSN for it sounded like it would eventually be removed (not anytime soon).  I do have the ultimate edition of Dragon Age: Origins, but for some reason they game doesn't acknowledge that I own the DLC unless I install in manually.

That's strange. If you hover your mouse over the game's image in Origin, then click the "i" icon, do you see any DLC content there? This is what it looks like for me:

Huh. I just noticed that not all of the DLC appears there. I'm missing "Witch Hunt", "Darkspawn Chronicles" and a bunch of other stuff. It would seem Origin is not a reliable way to download/install the DLC for DA:O after all.

Both my Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition look that way as well, the problem is inside the game when I try and manage it I can only download the DLC included in the Ultimate Edition for it won't find it installed on my computer and most of the time the download is painfully slow that way.

In the event it does get shut down, you can manually download everything from here. The game still checks to make sure you previously purchased everything that had to be purchased, so you can't get something you haven't bought (or that isn't free), but it's a good alternative if you can't get it through the Bioware site, in-game downloader, or Origin.

Thanks, I didn't know that the wiki had the files as well.

No problem. I discovered it after fighting with the in-game downloader when it refused to download and install anything.

It should be noted that all of the links on that page go back to the BSN anyhow. So if it does shut down, those links would likely stop functioning.

I hadn't noticed that part, so thanks for pointing it out. Backing up downloads is never a bad idea, though. I have enough trouble getting things to download properly that I do it out of habit now. The link is useful for that if nothing else. :)

Edit: Actually, I think it just links back to Bioware, not the BSN specifically. As long as that particular section doesn't get shut down, it should still work even if the BSN is taken offline at some point.

I meant BioWare when I said BSN, sorry about the confusion. It does look like those links should remain up even if the BSN is removed entirely... hopefully.
