Adding Dragon Age: Origins to my profile

Meilleure réponse Sanunes , 25 février 2014 - 03:45

I was just able to get mine to work, but I had to manually edit the link.  I guess its the troubleshooter in me.

Here is what I did:

I used the base example as a template

http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?nid=1234567890&game=dragonage1_ps3&persona_id=123456789

And then entered my NID where it shows theirs.

Then I changed dragonage1_ps3 to dragonage1_pc

Finally I had to click on my "Manage Characters Tab" to get my ID and entered it there.

I own both Dragon Age: Origins, and the Ultimate Edition for the PC and when I try and link my account to my BSN profile I get this message "Dragon Age: Origins: The data you entered is not in the correct format", now I am just trying to copy the address bar like I did with Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3.  I am probably missing something knowing my past issues.

Anyone else having a similar issue?

Same thing happened for me. DA2 and ME3 url's work fine but not DAO. I'm wondering if it might have to do with the fact that Origins data has not uploaded properly for some time now?

DA:O link worked for me, I have the Ultimate Edition on PC. Maybe the platform is a factor, are either of you on PC?

Off-topic: OP, how on earth did you already get 2400+ posts on the new forum? :o

I was just looking at the examples and I think the formatting could be different for the PC version versus the console ones.

For here is the example from the profile page

http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?nid=1234567890&game=dragonage1_ps3&persona_id=123456789

And mine from my profile

http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?sku=dragonage1_pc&nid=2260762743

This is what my PC link looks like:

http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?game=dragonage1_pc&nid=2280468780

I notice yours has "sku" instead of "game". Maybe try changing that?

I'm on PC as well. My url is:

http://social.biowar...&nid=2412956559

I just noticed the "ue" in the line for (presumably) Ultimate Edition, but I didn't see that in the url you posted?

Edit: for whatever reason, the full link isn't showing after I upload. I will try the manual edit you suggest and see if it will work.

I had some issues, until I did this:

1) Copy the example URL for a given game into the dialog box.

2) Go to your old BSN profiles page, and copy just the user ID from the url.

3) Paste the user ID over "123456789" in the example URL

4) Click save changes

5) Repeat for each game

For Dragon Age 2 you'll need your BSN ID (which is typically, or at least in my case, a much smaller number) as well as the user ID.

For Mass Effect 3, you'll just need your Origin account name.

Weird. I just went to the old BSN and it shows I have the vanilla DA:O for the link, but under the list of games I own it shows the UE. There's no link for the UE on my BSN profile though. If I add "ue" to my link, I get an error message saying it isn't formatted properly.

All you needed to do was change "sku" in the link to "game". Your corrected link should look like this:

http://social.bioware.com/playerprofile.php?game=dragonage1_pc&nid=2260762743

I tested it and it took me to your DA:O profile.

Yeah, the formatting for some reason seems to be a little different for the PC versions, so I just needed to make a few changes and it works.

You will also need to change your NID number as well, for it looks like you only changed your ID number.

If you are on the PC you will need to also modify the "dragonage1_ps3" to "dragonage1_pc".

What should I do if when at the old bsn page my player profile lists the game as no data available & wont give me a url? I've run into that issue with DOue on the 360, despite having it registered there with the badge showing up.

Done, thank you! Whatever problems now are likely again on Bioware's end.. :(

I had the same problem with my DAO: Ultimate Edition PC. I got the correct URL when I chose "My games>Player profiles" and clicked on the PC link under DAO.

Looking at your link I think there might be a typo, for you have the same number for ID and NID.  The website will give you the NID when you first load your profile page for Dragon Age: Origins from the side menu on the old BSN and the ID number will be in the address bar when you click on "Manage Characters".

Cool, thanks.

But there's still the problem of my DA:O and BSN not syncing. I've never found a way to fix that. I'll try your suggestion though.

EDIT: Okay yeah it worked! However, there's still Bioware's problem of my characters not syncing up :(. Maybe they never will.

Yeah, my characters are all messed up too.  I have never named the character the same and it shows multiple entries for some characters and others aren't listed there, but I have had that problem for years.
