Agreed.  The black background was a lot easier on the eyes.

 

Hopefully bioware can add some sort of darker background post-haste.

As I have stated before I am not fond of this white background. Was the old website in such a deplorable state that BW had to create a new one?

At least they finally allowed us to change our (horrible) past usernames. I was happy, until I remember that I despise white background forums!

It's great that the request has been passed on, but I really hope it happens soon. After 15 minutes of trying to read threads on here and decreasing the brightness/contrast on my monitor as much as possible while still being able to make out words, I resorted to installing an extension on my browser that makes the pages look like crap but at least gives me a dark background so I can read without burning my retinas. It's a shame really, because the new site looks great otherwise.

You can change it every 90 days.

It's in Edit Profile > Display Name. It's quite useful for people that randomly typed the first thing that came to mind instead of actually using a name, the horror!

Thank you for passing on the request.  If it helps, there's actually a fair amount of scientific research out there noting that darker backgrounds are better on the eyes. 

 

I'm familiar with this board software from some Walking Dead sites I frequent, and most have an option for picking one of several different color schemes.  That would really help here, I think, if you guys have that option in the package you purchased.

while you are at it please let us choose the font size or make it larger. The combination of whiteness and small font size, while readable, puts lots of stain on our eyes.

I believe you can do that by using the right Ctrl button and the + button.
