Howdy Mass Effect and BioWare fanatics! I have a question about the replay option that shall be in Mass Effect 2, hoping to get an answer to put my mind at ease.
So, as you know your allowed to import characters from Mass Effect 1 over to Mass Effect 2 and continue to story of your custom Shepard, my friend recently got the Mass Effect 2 guide (his mother works for a company which ships and packages the guides for video games so he got early access to it) and I was wondering I know your able to change your apperence and class before you start with your custom shepard, however with the replay option still in Mass Effect 2 as it was in Mass Effect one, if you begin a replay with this same character do you have an option of changing your class and look again? or is this a one time chance that pops up?
I would like to know this because well, I don't really want to play through Mass Effect 1 again and transport another character however, I plan to use my good female shepard, my good male shepard and a canon (start a character in Mass Effect 2) renegade shepard.

Yes you do have the option to make some changes to your appearances though how much can be changed is still not clear. Also you CAN change your class. This has been confirmed multiple times. The reason for being able to change class is because of the complete redo of the class system and BW believed it to be totally unfair if you could not change class. The 'Lazarus Project' gives them an ingame mechanic to explain why both can occur.

Thats a good info to know, still I have a question wich might concern about this too, so, we can import a character from ME1 to ME2, we can change appearance, and class, now, my question is, since the ME2 game will not have New Game + (this I ask now because I have experienced, where games w/o New Game + system, once u beat the game and start a new one and save u automatically rease the one u played before) will we be able to start more game without loosing our other characters data?? Just like the ME1, I guess is not bad to ask around right?
