Wait, nevermind, now I see how to limit it to Bioware posts. I feel dumb. Now's when I really need that edit button. ![]()

I have another minor suggestion. Right now there's a big white space under our post counts. Might we at some point be able to put something there (location, interests, etc)?
EDIT: Now the edit button shows up, after I posted four times.
It's still not showing for my third post though.

I am not really a big fan of the mobile skin. Although, to be fair, I rarely am - mobile skins usually are annoying to me on a level that I never use them and always prefer the normal site when viewing through a phone. Which is a shame, because I was hoping there would be a truly mobile app that could be used. As a poster who uses my mobile phone for 99% of my BSN/BWF posting, this is a real shame.
For instance, in the mobile skin, I don't see a way to view groups, to give status updates or to use the Quick Navigation setting.
After a day of struggling with the new site on my phone (on both the normal theme as well as the mobile), using the site on a PC this afternoon has been a very welcome change. It seems like things function how they are supposed to (with some wonkiness... and some extremely white background).
Still wish a mobile app would have made it out. There are a LOT of good forum apps out there, so it is a real shame that we will be stuck with a stripped down, difficult to use mobile skin.

My old 13'' macbook could barely scroll along the new forum. Blocking the background image improved the situation. The web moves fairly smoothly with a plain black background. Just sharing in case it helps anyone.

Thirding this. My favorite part of the old BSN was hanging out on friends' profile pages and comment walls.
Agreed as well. Having one place to go to for comment, posts and group discussion updates was great. Now I feel like I need to click on three or four different places to get a feel of what is going on across the site with my friends.

The old forums opened with a page of status updates of people in your friends list. Is there still a quick way to see all my friends' updates or do I have to check each profile individually?
Also, is there a dev tracker? We used to be able to find developers' forum posts by clicking on the BioWare logo next to the thread title, but I don't see that here.

You still can. The Bioware button is just off on the right side in the list of threads (a red "Bioware" button).
See, here it is:

The last time I checked, the mobile skin didn't provide that button directly on the main forum page (I have a bug on this filed). However, a link should exist once you are viewing the thread, to show only BioWare posts, right below the "Reply" button.
It's not ideal, since you have to open the thread to see if a dev has posted or not, but it should work to let you filter posts.

It would be good if the mobile skin would have a symbol or whatever next to the user's name to clearly show who is a BioWare employee. This is totally missing in the mobile version.
In total I like the changes (with the exception of the grey letters on the white background) ... ![]()

Not a bad idea - I can add that to the pile of possible improvements for later on.

Adding distaste for the white.. I can barely stand to look at the forums since they are so bright and I am extremely sensitive to light.
Not to sure how I feel about the notification system and such being up top instead of down the side. Have to test out some group functions to see if they work better than the last one though.

Things I just tried via mobile that didn't work:
-sending a pm; tried to backspace, but what I typed wouldn't delete
-approving members for groups failed, saying I didn't have permissions, even though I was logged in.
I am using a Galaxy S3, with Chrome. The phone should be updated to the latest version.
Clarification about the black on white text: I'm a graphic design student, and one thing we've been told is that black on white text is best suited to print media. On screen media, the white uses an intense amount of light, causing the eyes to strain after a while. That amount of light is also potentially damaging to the eyes after an extended period of time.
I don't come on the forums much anymore, but I did want to add some of the things I've observed. I use the groups function daily, and I've been using the BSN since it was formed. So, thank you for letting us use this space to build a community. I honestly don't know what I'd do without some of the wonderful people I've met here.
(Btw, I'm having fun looking at your new site's code. It is so well laid out...)

For some reason, even though I have the site in english, the notifications for the topics I follow and the email I just got about it is partly in what google translate says is german. I tried switching to a different language and then back, but that doesn't fix the notification for some reason (by clicking the globe icon).
Also doesn't hurt to mention that I'm having the too bright backround problem as well.

Let's see feedback, feedback, feedback that won't get me banned...
It's much too white.
I've got quite a bit more to say but since it would largely consist of disagreeing with things it'd probably get me banned.

Some of the features of the new forums are good but it has soo many missing features again!
Am I blind or there isnt EDIT button anymore ?
Also, on old forums the posts in the topics were highligted with a timeline as 5minutes ago, 1hour ago, now I can see only exact date which tells me absolutely nothing, I havent found a way how to change this settings so I hope I overlooked and its there somewhere.
And mainly the new forums are extremely bright and it hurts my eyes especially at night. It wouldnt be so problematic imo if the background wouldnt needlessly fade into white in the middle of the screen - why for god sake? Make the background to be streched on the full screen and it wont be problem at least for me. But a bit darkened skin would be nice too I guess.

to edit your post, you can find the edit button on the right hand corner underneath your post where it says "edit - hide - quote - multiquote"
To change your settings (and for other helpful tips) I recommend reading this: http://forum.bioware...for-the-forum/
as for a darker theme, it has already been acknowledged by BW and they have stated numerous times that they are going to work on that. be patient.

I fugured out this option will apear some time after posting, 10minutes maybe. I was used to post a reply and then read it and edit typos. Now this is not possible.

I cant see anything in this thread related to what I asked for. If course I found out profile settings, but not the posts time format there.

I doubt you will be able to change the time format to "1 day ago" and so on, however you can edit in your Profile Settings the timezone used which adjusts the time of made posts in the forums to your timezone and therefore makes it easier to see who posted when.
EDIT: as for the edit button, it is right there after I made this post. No waiting time there.

From what I hear the Edit function only shows up after the page refreshes.

For some reason, the quote option doesn't work for me on my computer. Does anyone know if that can be fixed by altering one of the settings?

Are you using Internet explorer?
