It surprisingly worked when i used it with the vanilla hsol. Me and another friend used it on reaper plat. I used the cshot based build with cryo ammo and my friend used it with ap4 and eb. Stuff does take some time to die and that ammo runs out too frequently. I imagine it would be quite a bit better on gold.
Or maybe cshot did all the work! 
But my friend came in a close second, so im sure it can be made to work but dont think its worth the time and effort.

I use it mainly for challenge point grinding, though admittedly it's still a fun gun to use.

Yeah also for this reason. This gun was practically the only gun I used at the very beginning.

I hear Raptor is deadly on full-auto.
Avenger is actually a good primer gun as it has good amounts of ammo and has a low weight that can compare to a SMG, Plus Avenger makes a better SMG than most of the SMGs anyway.

i love the HS Cshot + that weapon + incendiary ammo especially when scrubs join the lobby in gold.... Then top them...
