Look at it like this....if you get fire, that's more time for you to play Borderlands!

And the 6 other games that come out in the next few months! Although I'd have no way to pay for them. Or pizza. Or Mountain Dew. Damnit. I just discovered the flaw in this plan.

So, even though The Evil Within is supposed to have awful boss fights and somewhat clunky controls, I watched the first couple of chapters on YouTube and finally caved and bought it. I'm pretty stoked guys.

I hope it's good! My friends really haven't had much good to say about it.

Yeah, I'm not expecting anything amazing, but I really like the atmosphere and I kind of know what I'm getting going in so hopefully it's at least a somewhat enjoyable.

So...a friend lent me his copy of Destiny. I don't know what the hell is going on, but it looks pretty and has good music.

I am content...for now.

Just try not to make sense of the story. Or do, and then wonder why the story is so awful XD

Destiny has a story? I thought it was just a game where you fought off bullet sponges and then deployed Dinkbot so he could scan something and then teleport you somewhere to start the whole thing over again.

Huh...and here  I thought I was being judgemental when I assumed that would be the entirety of the game. I'm actually kind of bummed now.

Oh well, DA:I and Smash Bros are right around the corner!

If it helps spur you along, Xbox One is $50 off everywhere starting now I believe.

And Sunset Overdrive is freaking awesome.

I didn't like Sunset Overdrive's gameplay at first, but now that I'm getting used to it, it's a lot more fun and the humor and style of the game are awesome. I'm not gonna lie though, the thing that totally sells the game for me is the character customization. So much fun!

Ahhhh, don't tempt me! I've had this in my Amazon basket since they announced it, but don't want to part with my cash! :D

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I'm finding the Xbox One interface to be a billion times more intuitive. I thought switching between an app and a game on the PS4 were awesome, but seeing how the X1 saves your progress even when you turn the console "off" blows the limited ability of the PS4's interface out of the water. And snapping things on the side of your game or app is way more awesome than I thought, and last but not least, it all just looks so damn pretty. Notifications, achievements, your friends' progress... It all looks amazing. And this is a totally personal choice, but I really, really missed achievements. Trophies never won me over. And with the dashboard update coming in a few days, you'll be able to use your achievement artwork as your dashboard background and, at least for Sunset Overdrive, the achievement artwork is freaking gorgeous. I really liked the PS4 and I tried to convert, but using the One feels like coming home.

And I'll just finish this rave on that cheeseball note.

I can confirm that achievement artwork as your background looks awesome. I'm in the Preview Program, and I used a Forza Horizon 2 achievement as a background. Ugh. So purdy.

Its nice to hear your perspective Meg. I haven't had the pleasure of using a PS4 but like you I've loved the XB1 interface. It's actually a lot better now than it was at launch. I'd like to hear your opinion on voice chat soon, it's incredible.

@badger: I haven't used chat on the X1 yet, but my headset is a little messed up so until I get a new one, I'm not sure if I'll even be able to tell how it's different from the 360/ps4.

Also, I played a couple of games of the Evolve alpha before it started taking hours to find a match. I suck at it big time, but I'm really interested in it. If this game had come out while we were all still gaming together every week, I could totally see a group of four of us having an awesome time as we ganged up on some poor monster.

Yeah Evolve requires a huge amount of teamwork. Coordination and tracking skills are key. When played with others, it's great fun.

Just got a message from Xbox congratulating me on my Sunset Overdrive console bundle and giving me a token for Ryse. This is seriously the gift (to myself) that just keeps on giving.

If all else fails, you can always just sell soda/beer cans. Although you'd probably need quite a few cans...

@badger: I doubt I ever would have bought Ryse, but I was curious to play it so I'm happy. I'm mostly just impressed with MS because even though giving out an almost year old title that they published isn't exactly a huge gesture, it's still a lot more than Sony's doing and it goes a long way in establishing loyalty with the player.

I don't know about all that, their free games on PS+ are pretty good. I mean, don't get me wrong, they've been lacking on the PS4 front, but any service that lets me play Demon's Souls for free(ish) is good in my books. That being said, I like how MS does their games for gold, even if their games tend to be on the older side.
