I hope they give us the option to change the screen to invert the black and white at least.  I can only spend a few minutes at a time before my eyes hurt.

 

And yes.. I've seen two episodes of the show so far... totally not because of boobs.  I swear.

Boobs aside, has anyone been playing the new Thief? I won't spoil anything, but chapter 5 just scared the shyte out of me. Wasn't expecting that from a stealth game.

I just started today on Xbox One. I'm still at the very beginning but so far I dig it. Seems like a lot of the negative reviews were from people who aren't keen on old-school stealth only games.

I bought it for the PS4 and have been enjoying it for the most part, though I did rage quit earlier. There are alot of design choices that they made that I dislike, but overall it's fun. But yeah, chapter 5 made made me jump a little.

Yeah, I like it, but it definitely doesn't feel like.the game I was expecting. Only having one save slot is just asking for people to get stuck and have to start the game over completely. I've also had some issues with voices not syncing up with the mouths and other audio being weird, but that's probably just bc I'm playing it on 360 and it was fine tuned for next gen. The map is also not helpful at all and some of the dialogue is ridiculous. I think 10 minutes in was when Garrett literally said, "If I concentrate, I can think faster." Like that's a superpower? I think that's the definition of concentrate. I also don't understand why they switched out most of the f-bombs for the word "friggin". I never played a Thief game before so I'm not mad that it's not like those. It just feels like this game was made by people who hadn't made a game since before maps and save points and other stuff was fine tuned to be super efficient for the player. I know that's not true. Those things just felt like a huge step backward IMO.

For the most part, I'm enjoying the game and these things might not even be an issue on next gen, but I can see where the negative reviews are coming from.
