I don't know if anyone will be interested, but right now Wolfenstein: The New Order is on clearance at Target. It's only $11.98 at most locations, even if it says otherwise. My Target still had them priced as $30, but it only came out to $11.98 at checkout. You can always look up the upc code at your local Target on brickseek.com to see what the price really is.

For the first time, I really wish I had a PS Vita so I could remote play Bloodborne and grind levels while "visiting" with family.

Um... You guys said Darkbeast Paarl wasn't available anymore, but I totally just stumbled across him in the Unseen Village. Not cool. Because he killed me.

Edit: Actually, he was pretty easy. I beat him on my second try. You guys might want to check and see if he's still showing up in your game.

We managed to find him.  He apparently opens up again at some point.  Died the first time too, then kicked his mangy ass!  This game is frustrating but addictive... and I still have no clue what is really going on.

That's a glyph for a chalice dungeon that gets you an easy Blood Rock. You're welcome.

Daredevil is one of the best shows I've seen in a while, but damn are there a lot of bones being broken horrifically and graphically portrayed. The part of me that isn't having sympathy pains loves it.

Got through six episodes... it was good to start, but it kept getting more brutal and violent and filled with death to the point I'm done.  Just not what I want from the marvel universe shows.   I'll say it is far better written than Agent Carter though.  Just wish they toned down the brutality.

Yeah, it's pretty brutal, but I feel like that's kind of part of the whole "Street Hero" thing. Characters like Daredevil and The Punisher live in vastly different worlds (metaphorically speaking) than the likes of Iron Man, Thor and Captain America, where the people that they deal with aren't afraid to act in such a manner, and as a result, they need to do so in return.

I'm not saying you're wrong for having an opinion. You're absolutely in the right to not watch it if it goes against what you want, I'm just trying to give context.

I knew Daredevil was grittier, but I think the issue I have is that they feel they have to show it in graphic detail.  If they had the same events happen, but didn't feel the need to get so brutally in your face with it, I probably would have enjoyed it far more.  I think once that car door scene happened it made it harder to sit through for me. I was just thinking "was that really necessary?".  They could have cut out with the beating and then shown the car washing scene.  I would have gotten the picture still.

Though, I also think it has a lot to do with the fact I just can't connect to most of the characters, especially Matt.  I found Vladimir more sympathetic and likeable and that is... well, I mean he's not the nicest of guys.  It reminds me of the problems I have with Hellraiser/Constantine.

I understand why you have issue with the extent of the violence. It's definitely not easy to sit through, but I think that's kind of the point. Part of the problem is that, as a culture, we're all so desensitized to violence that just glossing over the door slamming scene and cutting to the next scene wouldn't have had quite the same effect. By being as graphic as they were with that and other scenes, you get a very visceral feel for just how horrific and brutal these characters and the city in general really are. Honestly, I thought they found a really nice balance between HBO's level of brutality and network television's almost cartoonish portrayal of "bad guys". Going in, I expected Daredevil to either be gory, hyper sexual and full of swearing simply because they could, much like premium cable shows tend to do. Or I expected it to be squeaky clean to the point of the actions and consequences in the show not really having any influence on the story like so many network shows. Daredevil feels very natural and realistic though, at least to me. Sometimes people curse, but not to Debra Morgan proportions. Sometimes people die or kill someone, but it's not glossed over like on Agents of Shield or Law of Order. It's brutal and sad and ghastly and that's how death is in real life. And not everyone is hooking up with everyone else or having a love triangle. It all felt so refreshing to me and I hope more shows follow suit in the future. Although, as I said, I totally understand why it bothers you and you wouldn't want to watch it.

And as an aside, I finished the show earlier and I don't think there are any more super gorey scenes after that scene with the car door. There might be a broken bone that i covered my eyes for and don't remember, but the door thing was seriously the most brutal the show got, iirc.

Meg said it better than I could have.

Also, I beat Bloodborne, didn't need to co-op, you guys should be fine.

I did like that there was little hooking up/love triangle type drama.  I think the rest of TV has more than enough of that... looking at you Arrow and Flash!  But I'll stop being the downer since you guys enjoy it. Rather you guys have fun with it still than be the annoying fly  :P

Got tired of the chalice dungeons eh? :P  Though understandable... trying to farm for materials just to make the right chalices so I can get to the boss for the trophy is a pain.

On a related note... got Demon's Souls again.  Feels weird not having a pistol though.

Yeah...that and I didn't really see the use in going for items/achievements since I know I'll replay the game, so I can go for them with a better built character. Seriously though, the end bosses are super easy, I only lost to the true final boss once, and that's because you fight it right after the other boss, so I was low on healing items. Provided you can co-op, it should be even easier.

Also, I should look into re-downloading Demon's Souls...

It's been a nostalgic trip... I forgot a lot of it though since it's like new to me again :P

I keep forgetting that attacking doesn't regen health right after being hit though <_<

But damn I forgot how well the levels were designed.  If only it wasn't  hub design so we could see the world blend together as you go through it.

I agree that the violence is necessary for demonstrating how brutal the bad guys are or can be. It gets the right reaction out of people too, it's supposed to disgust you. I also like how its a more mature telling of a comic book story. That's not to say it's for everyone, you reserve the right to stop watching if it's too much. It's true though that after that car door scene the show is a lot less disgusting and violent, so you might be safe in trying to watch the rest of the season Kab if your worry is the brutality of the show.

Wondering if I should try a ninja cleric type build in DeS... high dex and medium faith.  Never done something like that before :P

Should be fun, my first DeS playthrough was a dex/int build, it was really effective and fun, so I'd imagine that dex/faith should be equally good. Though I like to personally do str/faith builds, as I love me some paladining.

Yup, that's a word now.

Also, finished Daredevil. I squee'd when he got his suit.

I might give the show a chance in a few weeks or months... I should have known better given what I've gone through the past few weeks.

And I've never done much with faith.  I've done a little with intelligence before, but the ES games really put me off magic builds since they just weren't as fun as stealth or pure out "HULK SMASH!" fighters with big mother ****** axes :P

Just re-learning those DeS ropes though.  Beat the Phalanx without issue and have only had a problem with mister red eye since I forgot he hits like a freight train and I have a hard time gauging spears sometimes.  Now I just have to remember to watch out for my World Tendencies.
