Holo lens looked awesome, but I'm really skeptical about peripherals like that considering how things went with Kinect and PS Move and Virtual Boy, etc. It's still rad to see the things technology is capable of in games now days though.
Also, Gears 4 (with Laura Bailey), The Division, Dark Souls 3, Tomb Raider, Tacoma and whatever else all looked amazing. I'm excited to see Sony's press conference now.
And I pre-ordered the Pip-boy edition of FO4 for X1 last night and I'm pretty happy about it.
So far, this E3 has exceeded my expectations quite nicely.

BFG lights up everything.
So.....Fallout 4 will have full modding support on Xbox One. Yup. This game has claimed my soul.
Speaking of Souls...Dark Souls 3! Super excited about that, so long as Miyazaki is on board with it.
Okay.. hiding behind a locked door then! That will do it!
As for mods, I think Bethesda games will be mod friendly on all platforms, if I understood their explanation last night. And luckily it's Bethesda doing it, since they are the best company with mods.
Looking forward to Gears 4 and maybe that Sea of Thieves... not sure though on that one. FOr some reason, Tomb Raider isn't making me excited. I think it's the "terrible **** keeps happening to Laura in waves". Kinda just want to have a nice fun tomb raiding adventure.
But BC... that was something both Sony and MS needed badly. Hopefully Sony matches that tonight. I wonder if the original Xbox games will be playable as well though or if you still need the 360 for that. Hmm.... still have Jade Empire, KotoR, and a few others I like playing.

I can understand feeling that way about Tomb Raider. I get that a little bit, but from what they've shown, it looks as though it's a bit less tortuous once she gets to the city.

I would say it's probably only 360 games that are BC since they kept saying 360 specifically.

Hope so, because I do enjoy the gameplay for it.
And I figure that might be the case... which means I still have to keep my 360 then.
In other E3 news... the rumbling for FFVII remastered/remake is getting louder. I wonder if Sony actually came in on that and funded part of the development since SE have been extremely adamant that it would not be fully remade. Not complaining... take my money if it's true! And we'll finally have a good FF game after so so long without. But, I better not get hyped so if it doesn't happen, I'm crushed.

And ala carte channels?! I've been asking for that for years... did not see that coming from Sony ever. Holy ****** ****.

Battlefront has to take the cake for most impressive game today though. Holy crapoly. No news of mods on PS4 Fallout 4 so I'm not confident about that.
I get to try ME1 on my XB1 tonight and the Gears Remastered beta.

After seeing both, Xbox won the conference battle for sure. No back compat for PS4. But the PS4 stuff was still pretty awesome.

Have to disagree... BC is big, but Last Guardian, Dreams, Horizon, No Man's Land, Shenmue, the ala carte TV deal, Uncharted 4 and FFVII first were absolutely above and beyond what I could have even expected from Sony.
I think Horizon is my game of show though.. that looked ****** awesome.

But seriously back compat. I will be able to tell people now that their Xbox, whether they already have one or if they plan to get one, can play select 360 games this fall.

Ehhh, I'm not saying Sony's stuff was bad by comparison, but back compat is literally the best thing either company could announce today. You don't realize how many customers I get a day that ask me if the XB1/PS4 they're about to buy can play 360/PS3 games, and how disappointed they are when they learn they cant. Xbox announcing back compat for XB1 is going to have a huge impact to a wider audience. To you and what interests you, Sony won, and that's great, nothing wrong with that. In terms of consumers overall? Xbox won today hands down. Even too the mod support on XB1.

Todd Howard said PS4 is mod capable with a tweet, so that's not just an Xbox win. I think both consoles have something to offer, but Sony seems to have gone back into PS2 mode with what they are offering. I haven't felt this... giddy... about an E3 in a long long time.

Personally, the Xbox presentation appealed to me more, but the Sony conference had some cool stuff even for someone like me who never played FF or The Last Guardian (although it looked cute). The new Media Molecule game really didn't appeal to me either because I didn't really understand the gameplay and I suck at drawing so it just doesn't seem like it was made for me. I think it's a cool idea though and I can see how a lot of people would get really into it. No Man's Sky and Uncharted looked really good though. And Firewatch has been one of my most anticipated games for aaaaages so I'm happy to see it. Those are the only games I can even really remember though. And the tv thing seems like something I might actually subscribe to, but at the same time it's not really something I'm super excited about.
Anyway, what are the games/features you guys are most looking forward to?

I don't know about either company "winning". I think they appealed to widely different audiences and it's all just a matter of opinion.

I've wanted ala carte for soooo long... I'm paying 200 a month just to get some sports and a few other channels because they are only bundled in the highest tier ![]()
As for games: Gears 4, Siege, Ghost Recon, Unravel, ME Andromeda, Hitman, Star Wars Battlefront, No Man's Sky, Dreams (looks minecraft like in some ways so must buy for me
), Shenmue, The Last Guardian, Uncharted, and the two biggest games announced so far: Horizon and Final Fantasy VII Remake.
FFVII I've wanted for years and years and Horizon was literally out of nowhere. I did not expect it and it grabbed me immediately.

I think I've said everything I need to say, however, here are my bullet points:
-I'm pleasantly surprised that we'll be seeing Shenmue 3
-Still hyped that I get to play as Ryu in Smash Brothers
-Fallout 4. All of it.
-DOOM looks cool
-Psyched as hell for a FFVII remake
-BC is meh, I sold all my 360 stuff for a 'bone. I may or may not be sour about that.
-I suddenly care about the Last Guardian again, so that's nice.
-Don't care about Gears of Four. This'll probably change once we get closer to launch
- Ditto for ME: Andromeda, I read about it somewhere a while before E3. Once I see more than a teaser, it'll be full fanboy mode.
-Fable, pls stop. It's awkward now.
So there. All my current thoughts.

@odin: no thoughts about the new South Park game? I also totally agree on Fable. Fable 4 I would be excited about. Legends just looks awful.
My bullet points:
-Firewatch and Tacoma are maybe my most anticipated games
-I wish there had been more to learn about ME Andromeda, but I'm glad we at least got something.
-Hitman was a nice surprise.
-I know The Division is a risky game to get excited about, but I'm still loving everything about it so much.
-Rainbow Six might be fun.
-Ghost Recon looks really interesting, but I'm not sold yet.
-I'm really hoping we see more of Deus Ex.
-My lord and savior fallout 4

-The new South Park game is gonna be a joy to pick up in stores. "I'd like a copy of The fractured, but whole, please."

@badger: I got the Gears beta code last night, but sadly I'm in Washington without my Xbox one for a couple more weeks so I'm gonna miss the beta. Not too bummed about it though. And I've seen Cuphead before so I wasn't surprised by it. It looks nice visually, but the gameplay just doesn't appeal to me at all. I hope the devs succeed though. I was happy to see so many indie devs presenting. Especially the Unraveled guy. Even if their game doesn't appeal to me, I can't help but want them to do well.
