Also... Trespasser.  **** YES!

Talk about nailing the finish.  Pretty much solidified DA:I as the best game this gen and right there with Origins as The Best to me.  Now a year til ME and who knows how long til DAnext.  But I have to say, DA:I and the DLC have made me super excited for ME:A.  They listened, they fixed what needed to be fixed, and they showed they can learn from some stumbling.  If ME:A is anything like DA:I..................... makes my head hurt at the sheer awesomeness.

I love DD. I just barely unlocked Quiet for missions so I'm not really sure how to make her do stuff yet. I liked their explanation that desperately tried to justify her being near naked though. lol

As for DAI, I loved the Trespasser dlc. It was the Dragon Age equivalent of the Citadel dlc which I very much approve of. I was disappointed that you couldn't marry Cassandra though. I had heard you could marry Cullen and got all excited going in, but it was still cool.

Not really a spoiler because it has nothing to do with the story and was an easily missable collectible but, did anyone else find the journal of Sandal's? It literally didn't say anything, but I was still happy to see a Sandal mention. Also, the thing that plays during the credits is the best thing ever. I'm more excited for ME Andromeda than ever.

Spoiler
I was not expecting that and it was awesome!  Running my Solasmance character through it to see how it plays out, though already loving that they made the missions play a bit different if you drank from the Well.  Essentially the same progression, but the fights are much easier.

And that ending... yeah, you can tell they not only listened to feedback post DA:I release, but just in ME3 and the reactions toward the Citadel.  Andromeda can't get here fast enough.  Everything is pointing to it being amazing.

At least they tried to explain it, lol. In MGS2 and 4 we had Vamp running around half naked and sexualized as hell, but we didn't get much of an explanation for him, other than him being "immortal". At any rate, Quiet takes some getting used to, you have to use the buddy support option in your iDroid, and tell her to scout. You can also give her commands with the call wheel.

And the whole "me needing to buy DA:I DLC" thing persists...I'm glad that trespasser seems to be good.

I have to take a break from MGSV... it's gotten tedious and the little story coming through just isn't gripping to me.  And it sucks...  DD is awesome, the fulton is awesome, and the stealth (when not hamstrung by "you need this from 10 missions later to do this properly...) is absolutely awesome.

At times, it just feels like a mix of portable and mobile gaming where Konami clearly wants to go, with just a little of Kojima's flair that made MGS great.  I hate not liking this as much as I wanted.  Especially since... DD!  ****** awesome wolf.  I want him in Dragon Age and Mass Effect and Assassin Creed and everything.  Make it happen world <_<

I kind of agree, it's a great game, but the side ops are repetitive and there doesn't really seem to be too big of a need to invest in Mother Base, I mean you can do it, and it makes the game a bit easier, but it's not needed. It basically seems like that whole aspect is a way to pad the playtime of the game. Also, the game reminds me of MGS:Peace Walker a lot, which is probably why you're getting that handheld vibe from it, Kab.

Probably.  And also that 'pick it up and play a few missions and get off' feeling is very mobile/portable like as well.  I don't feel a desire to sit for long stretches now and play the game, like I have with the other console titles.

I need to get Trespasser though, ugh. Are we sure you can't marry Cassandra or Josephine? Might have to look into the triggers for that.

By the way, not sure if we've talked about it before, but Mad Max: Fury Road is hands down the best movie of the year. Unless Star Wars tops it. But omg. I've watched it too much already. Charlize Theron is bae as ever, Tom Hardy is a badass, and the whole movie is grest action and very gender positive. Watch watch watch.

Also George Miller has an incredible attention to detail. Not just with the fact that the effects are all practical, but there's just small things he's incorporated that are so smart. For one, Max still has the leg brace from after he got shot by Toecutter in the first movie. And there are a few uses of Australian slang in the film which I didn't realize were slang terms until I looked them up. Guardian would be proud that George Miller is making good use of "fang it" and "schlanger" in Fury Road :D

I totally agree with you about MGSV, Kab. Usually with games like this, I think about them all day at work and can't wait to come home and play them, but with this, I honestly don't think about it once until I'm at home sitting in front of my Xbox. I'm enjoying the game, but returning to base after every mission and the fact that there isn't even much to do at the base is really making it hard for me to get into it. I was planning on waiting until I'd finished the story before I got Mad Max, but I might just download it anyway to break up the monotony of MGSV.

As for Trespasser, I don't know about Josephine, but I know for a fact that you can't marry Cassandra. I'm sure it's because she could be the head of the Chantry (I forget the title) depending on your choices and that would make it complicated. If I get desperate enough for it, I'll just write a fanfic where it happens though lol.

Holy crap. Was in the middle of mission 20 (?) and a radio in a random tent was playing the voice on the radio from the PT demo. The one with the guy saying "Dan was such a drag... Then he killed us all" or something like that. It was just as creepy in the African jungles as it was in a haunted house. Made me sad about Silent Hills all over again.

Taken King is coming out today at least, so that can help break it up a little.  I can't not finish the game.. I've finished every main console title and even a few of the portable ones.  It just doesn't have that "O my god I can't put it down!" feeling I'm used to.

And yeah... that was a depressing moment.  I'm all "why do you do this to us Kojima?! WHY?!!!!!".  I still want Silent Hills... and no Konami, not a plachinko machine <_<

Konami is done with AAA console gaming.... may the have luck with their god awful plachinko machines and **** mobile games.  Well, not really.   **** Konami.

Who thought we'd say that in the 90s?

Well, maybe if I get lucky, I'll be able to find a Mystical Ninja Pachinko machine...damned Konami.

Anyway...I started playing DA:I again, gonna pick up the DLC soon. Kab got me wanting to do a Nightmare run...maybe this time I'll actually finish it. I've finally decided to start playing a sword and shield warrior and am just about to hit Skyhold, it's weird being so tanky....

It's all good, lol. I just hit level 13 and my group is largely unkillable at this point. It took a few respecs, but I finally got a solid SnS templar build for my Dwarf Inquistor, I rarely have less than full guard, and the same goes for my party since I got War Horn upgraded to generate guard whenever someone deals damage. Soooo nice! I love the toggleable passives that they added in Tresspasser, it makes everything so much nicer.

Totally agree. The last time I played it, there was the longest, most convoluted monologue in history and I just can't force myself to pick it back up now.

For me it's all "But Yukiko really needs some love this playthrough... " and off to the Vita I go :P

And this game does handle the talking differently... there used to be long conversations in MGS before, but this time it's just one person droning on and on most of the time while Snake is just quiet.  I mean, I get Quiet being quiet, but Snake always asked questions in the other 4 mainline titles.

GIVE YUKI-CHAN THE LOVE SHE NEEDS!

*Ahem*...Anyway...I assume that the reason Snake has like, 4 lines of dialogue is because Kiefer Sutherland charges by the syllable, as opposed to David Hayter, who liked having an excuse to smoke and drink and do terrible things to his vocal chords.

Hey Guardian! And Kab!

And yes, an AF is sorely overdue.

Also, the new Witcher 3 expansion is really good so far. Kab, I think you'll especially like it. A character from the first game that I think I remember you mentioning shows up. I won't say any more than that, but I definitely recommend it.

We really do need an AF, I don't think I've played anything with any of you in about 6 months or so

Ah Witcher 3, 290 hours into it, still haven't found Ciri. One day I will see the end
