Maxed out my titanite shards and levelled a bit... now just taking a break from Sen's Fortress. The game is better than my first impression... but still a bit frustrating at times. Still, awesome world.. Just wish it had some great story moments or character interaction. The PC just seems a bit disconnected from the world still.

@Kab:Alot of the story is passive, you gain insight into the world via item descriptions or text in the loading screens or conversations with NPC's, so it's not like your typical RPG in that sense. It's a game first, storybook second so any meaningful character interaction is done with swords'n stuff, but if you understand the backstory of the characters, sometimes it changes the entire tone of the battle.
Side note: Sen's fortress is a nightmare the first time through.
Double side note: Did anyone see the DAI gameplay of the dragon fight? DO WANT!!!

Very excited about the targetable limbs on the dragon. Makes for a very strategic fight.
Also, was it just me or was the Xbox conference really awesome? I think this one was the best they've done in years.

Oh my f*cking god. I hate Watch Dogs. The following may contain vague spoilers, but nothing story specific. I just really need to vent bc this game is frustrating and disappointing the sh!t out of me. Every female is boiled down to the damsel in distress stereotype that needs saving and I mean EVERY single one. Which isn't saying much since there are all of 3 women in the entire game. The story is all over the place, nonsensical at times, completely gameplay driven and just plain bad. Then there's the main character who is possibly the worst video game character ever. He's a self-centered, lying, masochistic d!ckhole and I swear to god, he's a worse person than 99% of so-called "bad guys" in video games/movies/tv. And the final thing that's pissing me off, the final mission is a complete mess that involves loads of driving and trying not to die even though you can't control any of the road or shoot while driving so you have no way to defend yourself. I wanted to love this game more than anyone, but it's seriously one of the worst things I've ever played and it's weird that it doesn't seem that bad until you play it to a certain point and then it all becomes clear. If you haven't bought or rented it, save your money and just don't. Ever.
Seconded. I mean, I didn't beat it...I kinda lost interest and started playing Persona 4. I don't mind having to rescue a few damsels...it's enough of a gameplay trope where I expect it at this point (not to say that I'm disappointed when it fails to rear it's ugly head), but is it really so much to ask for at least one female character who is both strong AND competent?
Also, the driving is absolute sh*t, but that's beside the point. Oh well, at least I can send it back to gamefly soon and hopefully get my hands on Mario Kart 8.

Can the Borderlands Pre-Sequel be out already? Or at least TellTale's Borderlands game? I needs it.

After all the reveals and information I badly badly want Dragon Age... well, lots of games really. Luckily the summer is slow before the onslaught of games this fall though.

Yeah...the wait for DAI is actually causing me physical pain. Skyrim isn't doing a good enough job of keeping me busy.

That's true. I've been missing new Bioware goodness in my life. How are imports from previous games going to work though? That's the only thing I'm worried about, bc I don't really want to have to buy an xbox one to get my DA1 and 2 saves to import.
The Keep, which is a web page and glorified save editor where you can input the information and carry it to the platform of choice. Heard they are still trying out and out imports still but that cross gen on that isn't making it easy.

Ah, guess I should keep up with this stuff more. That's awesome to hear though. Hopefully they can get all the kinks worked out. Alright.. beat Dark Souls. Decent but still don't wholly get the best game ever feelings I'll admit... too frustrating at points and the lore is buried a little too deep for my taste. Still, love the atmosphere, but then did in Demon's Souls as well. Now... to get a used copy of Dark Souls II or not...

Definitely try to get Dark Souls 2 if you can. Lots of new additions make the game easier. Death is more like Demon's Souls though, losing small portions of your max health every time. Going human restores your health though.Alright.. beat Dark Souls. Also, Dark Souls 2 more cheaty-faced in some areas, (Lookin' at you, Shrine of Amana) whereas Dark Souls was more of a tough-but-fair deal. Not saying it's bad, I love the game to death, but I can't help but feel like they felt pressured to make it harder than the first one, but forgot what "challenge" means.
I dunno, maybe the mages with infinite homing soul arrows have me a little butthurt still...
