We're all lucky that Kaidan was on that ship, man. It's still one of my favorites. I used to get so excited going to talk to Kaidan after a mission.

 

Not even storywise, but think, we probably wouldn't know each other otherwise. I'm grateful for it.

 

That's true! I know I'm a hell of a lot happier having Kaidan in my life. And I'm really glad I had to chance to get to know you, too.
 

Too bad life isn't that easy. You'll find someone, just keep a positive outlook. 

 

I'm trying. But I thought enrolling in school would make it easier to meet people. Now I'm too busy to date. I went to a club meeting for ****** students and was the only single person there. Not that any of the guys were my type anyway. Positive outlooks are hard to maintain. 
 

Just hope whoever it is, captures the same feeling that Kaidan did

 

Kaidan set the bar impossibly high, in my opinion. I'm curious to see what the next batch of BioWare games have in store for us in terms of s/s romances, but I'm not expecting to like the new characters as much as I love Kaidan.

I was discussing this with MP buddy and said the same about ME3. For all my bitching about the latter and my wishing they had stopped after ME1, the whole ME3 experience made me meet a lot of people I would never have met otherwise and I'm happy about, on the overall. I mean even if it came at a certain price I'm not really willing to pay any time soon

I'm also glade I played ME3 & thx to Kaidan, i met a lot of awesome people! I sometime wish it was easy, fast & cheap to travel so i could met some of you :3

 

Also with kaidan, it's the first time I have some much feels about a fictional character, movie, game, serie, book, whatever, that never happened to me before, but to be fair, it's also because of Shepard. It's the first time in my life I have gay male characters that can be some sort of models, heroes, I would have love to had them sooner in my life, when I was young in fact, to tell me "look, there's nothing wrong about beeing gay, it's not because you're gay that you can't be a savior, a model to everyone", not sure if it make sens explained that way :3

Agreed, mShenko is the most realistic and healthy depiction of a s/s romance I've seen in any media.  Not to detract from Shenko. Like Roi said, it was wonderful to see Shepard & Kaidan as strong roll models and I too wish it was something I could have seen when I was younger.

Good news! I'm finally commissioning someone to make my Kaidan and John plushies! I've been dying to share that for weeks, but she was researching fabric prices before sending me a quote, then she moved and didn't get internet set up in her new place for a while. And I wanted to wait til it was official first. Last time I tried commissioning someone I jumped the gun and shared the news before the deal was finalized.

@Ku - She didn't give an estimation on time. I'm guessing about a month, maybe? It depends on what else she has on her plate.

Okay, she said she has other commissioners ahead of me, and she needs a little extra time to work on mine because of some of the details I requested. So it might be a few months.

Well, I asked that the pattern be altered a bit so the guys looked like they were more in shape. Her standard male plush pattern had more of an A-shaped torso than a V-shaped one, so I requested their waists be brought in a tiny bit to suggest that they are fit. Nothing exaggerated, just a slight adjustment. And I also wanted to make sure John had his iconic hairline scar. She said it was no problem, but it might take a bit longer.

I'm totally willing to wait longer if it means I will be happier with the final result.

She is working on other commissions, so it may be a while before she gets to mine. Luckily, the play I am in is keeping me distracted. Otherwise, the wait would be torture.

I forgot to mention she dropped my commission several months ago. She said she wasn't comfortable doing humans (because of the clothing) until she had a chance to practice. Commissioning people is hard.

I don't know. I've had crappy luck with commissions. Right now, I'm just hoping the guy I commissioned to do my action figure actually holds up his end of the bargain. I'll worry about the plushies once I have the action figure squared away.
